The problem with new champion releases and champion reworks...

When champions get reworked or when new champions get released their unique kit's make other champions significantly weaker, how so you wonder?

Well imagine you are playing in top lane, and you were against the old , irelia would 100% win the matchup but now with the current he could easily win against her thanks to the healing/lifesteal he has, the tankiness/damage reduction.

My point is when certain champions are released/updated they make other champions who are forgotten even more weak because the newly reworked/released champions kit's are going to be stronger.

Thats the intention of the reworks, and the cycle of power that exists in League of Legends. Eventually, the weak heroes with either get a rework, or a buff (directly or indirectly).

It's kinda sad actually how one of your long time favorite champions can be incredible weak and forgotten where as couple seasons ago they were considered really good. I know that this is all about shifting meta's time to time but I don't believe that certain champions should be this under-powered to the point where they are considered a really bad pick.

Thats sadly the problem with the cycle of power, and its unavoidable. The only way to fix it is to rework and buff the heroes in turn, but that can be tricky to do.

Zilean's not weak because of his ult, Swain is ridiculously broken xD, Amumu isn't weak becaue of HIS ultimate, Anivia isn't weak if you're good at her, she has a high skill cap. I think you're confusing having a high-power ultimate and weaker abilties, with a weak champion.
