Why am I getting more LP than other people? 20-25 LP per game

I don't play it very much anymore, like maybe 3 games a day or something. Which isn't much, because each game is decided within the 7 minute mark who is going to win/lose. Anybody care to explain?

Your LP gains/losses are based on the MMR differences between you and the people you are facing. Or something like that.

Oh that makes sense, the two games I gained the LP the people were like a few divisions above me. (Somehow I got plats as well, but luckily they were trash LOL)
