Why did riot remove tower hitting abilities from certain champions

yet a nasus with a minimum of 300 stacks can ignore me while he beats the living hell out of my tower.

Abilities being able to be used on a tower is part of a champions power budget.

Champions that have had it removed, such as Rengar, did so because they had so much power within their kit innately that they didn't need an additional way to shred turrets.

Xin Zhao can use his Q on turrets and shred them, but that's part of his budget, similar to how Nasus can destroy turrets once he has stacks, or TF can with pick a card and a lichbane.

Cuz it's not like Nasus can land that Q on someone who actually matters, like a Kalista or a Vayne or a Lucian...

what does that have to do with tower hitting

Well if he can't actually hit carries with it then might as well let him splitpush all day. No point of him teamfighting against this mobility creep.

Because Nasus would be extremely underpowered without it unlike the champions who riot removed the ability from

how would he be under powered?

also last i checked assassins like rengar haven't been top tier for a while now. he may have been picked, but alot of the time it wasn't to success

Unlike rengar who has been picked with varying levels of success, nasus has not been picked for pretty much a whole season and is amoung like 15 or so champions who have yet to see any play across all major regions this season.

why are we bringing lcs into this (also by the way im pretty sure rengar sees more defeats in the lcs than wins unless you go somewhere like korea)? zion spartan has played nasus this season and has showed hes perfectly capable of doing well with him.

we don't play in the lcs, we play non professional games. nasus just needs to passively farm get a couple of tank items and ignore you while he destroys towers one by one unless someone helps to kill him especially in this tank meta.

meanwhile all you at least have a chance to stop rengar because most rengars who could q hit towers were squishy

Games are meant to be balanced by prioritising top play scene if there is any.

For games like LoL it's a must because it lives off it, it's just sometimes Riot doesn't get the memo.

Near 0 mobility save for 1 hella strong cc, melee, has little mana issues early game, shiet early game with many counter pick options, boned once behind in early game and has a somewhat slow rampup time.

It undermines the way they want the game played. Riot enforces the meta. They want you to have an adc not two mages or others that can take the place of an adc.
