Can we have the 6.9-6.22 Chalice back?
Riot claims the passive change was to make it less "confusing", asking "Is extra mana regen really worth it if you spend it all healing back to full?". These changes were ultimately a nerf that made chalice even LESS appealing on healers for two reasons:
- Most of them have high base mana regen, which allows them to scale harder with bonus mana regen. They actually want lots of mana regen
- Most of them have very low base health regen, which means mana regen is shit on them
To be honest most healers didn't actually buy Chalice for the health regen. they bought it because they got free mana regen by keeping their own health topped off and spamming spells.
The new Chalice is NOT for healer supports, it's for people who need both health and mana regen. Basically it's for Tank supports, but since Athene's is shit on them, they will 9/10 times get Mikaels next, which just sucks outside of competitive, high elo, and Flex Q.
