When will Darius get a buff? He hasn't received a buff since the 8 second extension on his ult

And that isn't enough of a buff as it is, he's in a really bad spot in todays game and needs attention desperately, I can't play him without getting called a troll, being told he's a terrible champ and that I should play Gnar who has roughly the same damage in Mega Form and more CC.

Yes, I'm being told to play Gnar as he bullies better than Darius and has an actual teamfight.

What the fuck am I supposed to do Riot? How am I supposed to play Darius when you release more and more champs who can do roughly the same damage as Darius while having more mobility AND being tankier than him?

He pays for his mobility with damage, Gnar pays for his damage, mobility, tankiness, and CC for an "Uncontrollable transformation"

Darius isn't getting any buffs without a rework because he is the most poorly designed champion in the game. His entire playstyle is literally "win top lane unless the enemy top laner counters me"

Honestly, the best thing Riot could do for Darius right now (outside of a full rework) would be to be to change his pull so that it's single-target instead of AoE and reduce its width. If they did that, they could buff other areas of his kit because you could actually counterplay Darius by juking his pull or hiding behind minions, unlike his current state for which the only counterplay is "don't get in range of his pull".

I don't know, Darius's kit is honestly brutal. Extremely high damage early game, AOE pull, very high damage DOT (like teemo's poison on crack), and an ult that racks up huge amounts of true damage AND gets resets. Playing against darius is already scary enough as it is, especially if your someone like riven/nasus/insert any other close range melee champion.

Mobility aside, I feel like Darius is in actually a decent spot right now, and he can actually be a decent tank, since his kit is conducive to setting up kills for your teammates. Any buffs and darius would become a nightmare.

It's also not really fair to compare Darius with Gnar. Darius's biggest weakness are champs with ranged attacks and mobility, Gnar has both. Also, pretty much everyone agrees that Gnar at the moment is a problem regardless of who you take top lane.

Darius doesn't really need a buff. He's really brutal melee wise.

He's the type of guy to tell you to meet him at the back of the school at 4:30 so he can beat you up.

I actually like where Darius is right now. I used to not, then I played him a bit more. Dude is a freaking MONSTER. You know who is really popular right now and Darius just makes them cry in a corner? Irelia. Yup, I'm saying it. Darius makes that little princess his b**ch. Darius is like the king of melee. And that's his niche. Which is good.

You know, at least he got a buff somewhat. Poor ol' Aatrox has only been nerfed :(
