Oh look, 55% win rate this patch in the Elos above dog shit - http://champion.gg/champion/DrMundo/Jungle
The sample size is nearly 18000 games for just jungle alone.
Give Mundo a real nerf or give us 30 bans to cover all this bullshit.
hey look, a 55% win rate on Lux,must mean shes broken.
http://champion.gg/champion/Lux
53,000 games. In "Elos above dog shit". Is that a large enough sample size? Or do we need less players so the numbers fluctuate more.
Wait,Lux is played more than mundo?
guess dodging spells is hard.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH LOOK LOOK LOOK
http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/items/platinum
56% WIN RATE!!!!!!
ITS OP!!!!!!
Don't join your school's debate team. The kid with down's would rek you.
You might want to look up the term "logical fallacy". Normally I would assume people like you are just trolling, but then I learned you plebs really do lack common sense. Anyway I have through a cleansing ritual for speaking to a dirty silver peasant, see you never.
In my experience, at least in lower elo (where, if im not mistaken, the vast majority of the player base sits), no one likes to vary their build to counter their opponents.
Even in Snowdown, which ive been playing almost exclusively since it was put in, I see golds/plats/diamonds outright refusing to counter build the enemy team.
One very notable game was when the enemy team had both a
and
, yet no one on my team wanted to build
or
, so I, as full tank
took it upon myself to build a
. Surprise surprise, after I bought the thing we started winning pretty much every team fight and went on to win the game.
In my (admittedly limited) experience, having items that can counter champions isn't a very reasonable form of counterplay because for whatever reason people will still refuse to build them. People would rather lose a game than just put an ounce of thought into their build and vary it depending on circumstance.

this is not a valid argument.
you dont make a test in school easier because the kids didnt study for it. you make them not pass the test and let them deal with the consequences. if people dont adjust their build, its not the games fault of not providing enough options.
its the fault of the players for not making use of those options. nerfing a champion because no one wants to adjust their build to deal with him is backwards. instead the players need to learn how to adjust their builds.
there is no reason to reward or cater to ignorance or stupidity.
Unfortunately that's an improper comparison because taking a test isn't a team effort. That would be like making the one/two kids in the class that DID study also fail because some of their classmates didn't study themselves.
The point I was trying to make is that the item based counterplay to high regen/sustain champs like Mundo/Swain/Vlad isn't all that well designed at the moment, if for no other reason than because of how few options there are to get that counter.
I think Riot should either remove grievous wounds from the game entirely and simply rebalance regen/sustain champs to be more reasonable or provide more and better ways of getting grievous wounds from items. Morello especially needs to be retuned because the means of applying grievous wounds has an HP threshold meanwhile Executioners applies it on every hit.
TL;DR I would like to see more items capable of applying grievous wounds for more roles so that if im full tank Sej and I have to be the one to get said item I can do so without crippling my build, or I would like to see grievous wounds removed entirely and the champions its designed to counter simply rebalanced. Of course, the former is far more reasonable than the latter, and is what I would prefer personally.
The game has become completely angled towards catering to the lower skilled player. thats why the tank meta and other high hp tank champs are dominating the game right now. They nerfed the assassins out of the game for the most part and now you just pick illoai or tahm kench to win but wait they got rid of last whisperer too so you cant kill them unless you build bork. the game isnt fun because it rewards you for playing unskilled champs where little practice is needed to master the champ.

this is kindof hilarious, considering that illaoi actually struggles right now.
and tahm doesnt have a high winrate because hes so easy due to his resistances, but because his w is so damn effective at saving actual people who make dumb mistakes. a champ being tanky doesnt make him easier to play.
grievous wounds is shit, it only works for self healing which leaves soraka to spam heal and really doesn't no much to self healing champs especially mundo after the mid game, the item it builds into is also trash because of how last whisper works now, I have yet to see a mundo with deadmans, warmogs and spirit visage turn and run or even slow down because the adc had executioners calling
You sir, have no clue whats going on. Who mentioned soraka? You would pay 1250 for purely magic resist to counter an ad assassin's early/mid game but won't spend 800 to shut down a tank for good?

I mentioned soraka, because it pertains to why grievous wounds is shit ( it only effects self healing), also grievous wounds does not shut down mundo, it may help a bit in lane but once mundo hist 3k hp with warmogs and thornmail good look. and again the executioners calling doesn't build into anything good adds to how shit the item is.
Down vote.
The thing is that EC was freaked out over w/ the new changes thinking it would ruin dr mundo (I did it too) and we were all pretty wrong. Now maybe it's bc it's not built often enough, but there are multiple other reasons why it's not a great answer and even if it was built frequently that might just give mundo more wins instead of less.
The thing is that last whisper was somewhat nerfed (shreds bonus armor now instead of total iirc) so it doesn't work as well early and is a bad item to build early unless the enemy has really really just stacked only armor items. If you build EC you're spending 800 gold on an item to deal w/ one champ and it won't completely shut him down, just significantly reduce his strength (but it does the same to yours bc of gold not used elsewhere). Also the masteries this season brought his strength up a lot to balance out EC being introduced again which brings it down. The issue is that the meta shifted to be faster and, while mundo has some hp issues very very early and he scales well late, he is super efficient w/ gold bc he gets offense, defense, and sustain/regen all from buying more hp.
Sigh, this shit again. That websites looks at only items that are in an inventory at the end of the game, not at any point or their upgrades. On top of EC, look at Mortal Reminder.
But yes, Mundo doesn't need to be nerfed.
Mundo gutted, rofl.
I ditched Sated Yi and Jax(ty for the penta kills, it felt nice to finally get them!) in exchange for Mundo and he is now my go to try hard champ and go to jungler because I intend to ride this freelo, and he STILL exceeds all my expectations, even with the supposed nerfs and executioners. I played him because I wanted him gutted because I can't stand the sight of him, but he still has plenty of life going
