why can yasuo windwall the second half of bards Q even if the first half has already landed on him?

i just remebered a game that i was playing bard with a yasuo in it. i got cought out collecting chimes by a yasuo so i used my E to escape and as greedy players always do he followed me through it. i timed my Q perfectly so it would stun him the second he would have gotten out of the tunnle and i know it hit because he was slowed but somehow he windwalled the stun portion of my Q. i still got away alive but maybe JUST MAYBE yasuos wind wall shouldnt be nearly instant IF NOT STARTING BEHIND HIM SO HE DOSENT EVEN HAVE TO AIM IT

Yasuo can successfully wind wall projectiles by casting W in the exact opposite direction of them as long as they're close enough at the time of casting.

Yasuo windwall would feel so much better for other players if it didn't move forward and just started at it's current end position.

I mean it would make no real difference.

Actually it would, Currently Yasuo windwall starts behind him, meaning he can throw it in almost any direction at the last second and it will block everything from all directions. If 2 people are shooting skillshots from two different sides then he shouldn't be able to block both of them.

It would also make it so if the skill shot was a moment away from hitting him it wouldn't be blocked as the windwall would spawn behind it.

Overall it would just reduce the feeling of it blocking things that felt like they should have hit.

My bad, I did not read ''and just started at it's current end position'' I agree. Right now, If yasuo uses wind wall the moment projectiles are going to hit his hitbox, The moment you use Wind wall, It becomes a 360 degree wind wall for a split second or more.

Or at least wouldn't start behind him,

I hate yasuo but the whole bard q is a projectile, and he just windwalled it to keep it from hitting the wall. I don't really see a problem with that particularly but I do think yasuo is a problem.

my issue here is that i already landed the ability but within 1 frame he just windwalled in a random direction and it just denied entirely

The problem is that Yasuo's Windwall comes out like half a teemo behind him so it is extremely forgiving and you could be hella "late" at reacting to things, but it doesn't matter.

After reading the post for a second time I realize that Yasuo in fact did nothing wrong. He threw the windwall to prevent the projectile from hitting the wall. If it hits either side of the windwall, it will either explode, drop, or disappear. If you feel it was still a bug, I can help you recreate the issue to look further into it. I'm all for bug fixing Yasuo as he has an IMMENSE amount of them. (Mostly negative towards himself...)

Problem with his windwall is it actually starts at the center of Yasuo, not where his "windwall" actually appears. So he can have incredibly late reaction time, but as long as he puts it up before it hits him (even though you can physically see it hit him BEFORE his windwall) it will block the damage.

It's a pretty big handicap that he really doesn't need considering the strength of windwall already.

for the same reason he can block jinx ult when he's licking the tip of it.

Because I'm Batman... wait wrong forum.

Yasuo's Windwall offers a lot of protection from things it really shouldn't. Riot has gone on record stating that this is intentional (FOR SOME INSANE REASON). There is nothing to do other than ban Yasuo or complain like everyone else.

He probably had plenty of time to W while Bard's Q was snapping to a wall at 245 degrees from 6 miles away

Windwalll's hitbox starts from slightly behind Yasuo.

Proposed solution : Make it hitting a windwall stun if they already got hit, because it is technically hitting a wall. (A wall made of wind, but still a wall)
