Nothing like riding a bicycle

So last season I carried mysefl to platiinum solely playing Evelynn, it was tough but through hard work and perseverance I got there. This season I couldn't even get out of gold, I claim it to be due to itemization and my gametime beingt cut down to 1/10th of the time I had before. Okay so the playinjg field gets better and I get get more competition, however, playing a dumb camp still manages to win me games.

All of that aside, I have simply gotten worse at the game and I accept that. But when I played Counter Strike 1.6 10 years ago and I was pretty good I still was able to use that particular skill set in the game nowadays. I started playing CSGO and I was ranked into the lowest tier possible and guess what. I completely destroy nearly every game. I litteraly win 19 out of 20 games. Why? Because I can use the skill I gained from playing the old game and use it in the new version of it. However this doesn't seems to be work in the case of League of Legends. I have played about 5000 league games in the past 3 seasons and I have worked hard to get to platinum, however I havn't played much for about 3 months or this season as a whole and it feels like I am back to square 1. People that say that I am inting while I am absolutely not and people raging at me... It's like right now I am back at bronze 5, while just a season ago I was platinum. This is what bothers me about Leaug of Legends, that skill almost cannot be retained and that you ability to select a champion and follow the meta is more important than you individual skill in the game. This is what I really hate about the game, that individual skill and basic knowledge of the game is surpassed by the recent knowledge of the game. A game should by dynamic, buit not so dynamic that someone that starts playing it again after a couple of months has become a nobody while he was well at least someone noteable.

This is my problem with the game. Skill doesn't seem to matter as much as knowlegde does and yes of course League is a game about decisions, but it shouldn't be that a game changes so much in such a short timespan that you're considered a dinosaur in a matter of months.
