It's starting to make more sense..

I've been playing League for about 2 months now. I got to level 30 about 2 weeks ago, starting ranking to see where I would place (although it won't matter when s5 releases, I know), but I wanted to see anyway. So, after playing my 10 games, I finally got placed into Silver II. My friends told me this is pretty good, but I do realize there are a lot of equations that could have factored me out differently (like actual season play = more people playing, etc.). So naturally now, I believe I am a Silver, and I should be better than Bronze people. So beating up on somebody who is unranked or low Bronze wouldn't prove anything to anybody, other than the fact that is already there.. But here is what I am noticing..

When I am playing Normal games, and you just so happen to get a teammate (or opponent) who starts to get fed and they begin shit talking, you should see the signs. These people, on my team or not, are the people nobody likes. Cause lets be honest, if somebody who is truly good (Gold or higher) and is playing and getting fed/wrecking a team, you would assume this isn't uncommon for them to be like 15/0. So when you see somebody talking shit immediately, you can simply infer that they are Bronze or low level Silver. Cause if they're shit talking, it means they don't do it very often. I almost 99% of the time can guess the persons rank based off their attitude in game, and I feel like most people could too if you paid attention.

This is just something I started noticing and I was curious if anybody else notices this too. I am sure there are toxic people in higher divisions as well, but for the most part, they're all Platinum Div 1 Bronze-rs.

It doesn't get any better. I played against a master and a challenger about a week ago, the master talked shit until the challenger started intentionally feeding and talking shit. It's pretty horrific across every level of play, as far as I can tell. I have noticed the trend you mentioned, though. The people who talk the loudest are usually the people who are having fluke games. It's a "you're ruining my perfect game by feeding like i do every other game" kind of thing. I wouldn't sweat it, personally. mute and move on

Oh it doesn't bug me at all, I just find it humorous that it's always Bronze.

You got to Silver II after playing for two months? God, I feel so inadequate.

Not sarcasm! Silver II is well into the top 50%. And you've essentially played for the bare minimum to even be level 30. You're good.

Placement only goes so far - you can get strong teammates during placement and excessively inflate your actual rating or get a string of people who struggle and place well below your rating.

To place siv 2 you're basically winning 8-9 of 10 games in placement - not to say there isn't skill involved but it takes a bit of luck to not get teammates unprepared for ranked and utterly decimated at least a few times.

Last week I had someone in a CO-Op claim he was silver - yet the loading screen proved otherwise. By the end of the match he not only complained about me going overboard on kills in a bot game, but tried to tell me I should have built spell vamp. Despite explaining 3 distinct reasons why he just repeated himself until he gave up instead of actually considering what I was telling him.

He was b5.

The loudest folks tend to be compensating for something, regardless of ladder rank.

Of course, while they exist in every tier, it's just so ironic to see low rated bronzers convinced their mindset is right despite their clear struggle when compared to the rest of the ladder.

The sad thing about it is that I know a couple Bronze who has been playing for a few years, and they act the same way. Every so often they get fed, but most their games are negative (whether by a little of a lot). And being placed into Silver II, I realized that I had luck with the draw on teammates, but I actually only won 6 of my games. I won my first, lost 4 in a row, then won the last 5 in a row. Only one of those wins being an actual ff. Since being placed, I've lost a Division already because I keep getting mates who feed like crazy. Solo queue is fun, but I still would rather get a team of 5 together to play with them.

I only shit talk when the enemy has an extremely passive(annoying and cowardly) playstyle...if the enemy honestly tried to make plays and fight, why would you shittalk.

I'll make witty comment too, don't get me wrong. For instance, yesterday one of my teammates was getting lane bullied and I ganked a couple times for kills. So the mid laner and jungler came up when we were fighting and we beat them 2v3 so my top laner said, "Please come again." So the mid laner was like, "oh we will". Then the next 2v2 they beat us and she immediately starting talking shit, so once I was like 14/4 and was continually getting doubles and triples, I just said on all chat, "This is why you don't talk shit early game." and left it at that. Because it's true, it just makes you look dumb and people become MORE toxic when they feel dumb.
