WTF do I do when the other team plays an ADC champion in mid or top lane

Just lost a previous game to a Lucian that went top. I couldn't win the "sustain game" playing Vladimir and lacked the early kill potential. Does anyone know what you're supposed to do when this happens?

Btw, the guy was in platinum 3 :P.

Pray your jungler isn't a potato.

Unless your jungler just completely ignores the lane, it should be an easy gank farm for them to get you both fed. If they do ignore your lane, there's not a lot you can do unless you just naturally have a pick that can tango with an adc.

Those Champions generally have terrible defenses, so if you can get onto them you'll outtrade them. Abuse the bushes. The enemy marksman might take minion aggro when he or she is chasing you to harass you more. This will weaken him or her and allow you to do better in trades. Ask your jungler or mid laner for help. Marksmen are squishy, generally pushed up, and rarely have good escape tools (crowd control and movement spells), so they're generally easy to gank. They also fall behind really hard because they don't have a support to babysit them to get them back into the game.

If it was Cait or Miss Fortune. It wouldn't have been hard to set up a gank. The problem was the fact it was Lucian. Our jungler Shaco tried to gank and got a kill, the only problem was we counter ganked again by their lee sin :/ and lost 2 for 1.

The countergank is just unlucky, your jungler still did the right thing. Also, you can't post names of players in your posts because of our No Name Shaming rule. It exists to prevent witchhunts. You can edit out the name if you want, or just not post the picture.

Surely there was no shame involved. I was just pointing out a little detail >.>.

I completely believe you, the thing is that you don't need the picture to say he's Platinum 3. No one will challenge you on that. There's no real benefit in providing the guy's Summoner Name, so it'd be best if it were just removed.

I'll see what I can do :P

Lucian is pretty nasty right now - In general - learning how to deal with an unfavorable lane is important. Here's my suggestions:

1.) Grab as much CS as you can and avoid trading, let him have the early game unless your jungler pops around. Try to stick some wards down river for when he eventually gets tired of being unable to kill you and starts roaming.

2.) Armor. Armor. Armor. Stop building what you were going to build and BUY ARMOR. This is so critically important, especially in top-lane, where your expected to endure by yourself for longer windows of time.

3.) Next time, consider taking Exhaust/Barrier to help yourself against tower dives. If you know your going to lose the early game, play into it and don't give up a kill.

I would have followed with 2 if I knew Lucian was top >.<. But as it turns out, Yasuo actually went bot. 3 looks like its good advice that I'll try to remember.
