most champs are actually fighters are something close and much of the game is balanced around such balanced champs however the game tends to be decided more by champs that have less stats and more specific steroids like assassins and adcs
However, unlike adcs its really obvious when an assassin has just absolutely destroyed you and this makes players cry moar

Important note Part of the reason assassins are so obscenely strong in low ELO is because they are typically countered by support, but people in low elo don't appreciate the support role or know the first thing about it really. They think support is just a ward bot that doesn't get to play usually but then can't figure out why assassins keep shitting on them

Astôlfo2 votesUh, no. Zed is gutter trash. LB is meh without extensive experience. Rengar is meh against anyone who knows actually how to play against him. Fizz is worthless right now. Ekko is somewhat strong/bordering warning levels. Katarina is utter trash.

Astôlfo1 votes"rengar OTPs" Well yes you could say that for an OTP of just about anything. There's that Urgod guy for instance. Fizz is entirely single target, squishy, and worthless past assassinating single targets and running out. With a weak laning phase to boot, making him worthless without extremely extensive experience (takes over 125+ games on average). Ekko is plenty strong in the right hands. AP Ekko mid is fine too right now, and he has a good winrate/experience linear relation. Yes except she's worthless in anything past low ELO.

As high elo katarina main my performance with her says otherwise Ap ekko ussualy doesnt get to ulti at all and just dies . Champion is viable but not in teams with lots of burst and cc

OurLestrade1 votesThey're based around instantly killing you while giving you as little time as possible to react and forcing you to look at a grey screen. When the correct counter play is "stay ten miles away and have half of your team never use any of their CC or skills until the assassin enters the fight", it's not very fun.
All the flashy mobility assassins tend to hog to themselves so they can outplay you less because of skill but more because your own champion literally hasn't got the kit to react doesn't help either. What's an immobile squishy gonna do when an assassin jumps on them if flash is down? Don't worry, all the super delayed and telegraphed CC that most new champions get will stop them (There's a reason I hate the Taric rework)
