Let's get our priorities straight, community
Alright, so here's my take on things
Draven Day: My only personal dislike of this was the fact that Draven was made into a joke, or a clown if you will. He was always pictured as an egotistical jerk, yet competent asshole ya'know? Draven Day took away from his cool aspects and solely focused on making him into a running joke...which kind of ruined it for me personally. Other than that, the timing was simply off. Draven Day didn't belong for April Fools, Riot should've known that slapping some silly Draven heads on all the champions wouldn't be able to compare with everyone's beloved gamemode URF. It belonged as a gag event, maybe in a random weekend where there was no news going on (no new champs; no reworks; etc) to occupy us. This seems to be the reason why everyone is upset, that this event that isn't complex enough to go beyond a gag event took up the space of League's most significant game mode in it's stead. (Sure Draven Day may have been annoying but let's be honest, everyone would've been fine and mostly enjoyed it if URF wasn't booted out for it)
As for URF: Riot, we all know that you could've released URF for us on April Fools. Those who make the argument "they said it wasn't going to be released for April this year" doesn't remember they made a similar statement last year as their April Fools joke. It was poorly planned and shows a complete separation between your company and the community's wants. Here's a good business fact Riot: A community that doesn't feel as though their service company is there for them won't stay. If you would just release URF and maintain this expected tradition than I'm confident everything would settle down and mistakes could be forgiven.
As for the community: I am ashamed that some of you are demanding a scapegoat. We have all been on the internet (obviously) and you should know that if the name(s) of an individual/group that was responsible for this decision where released than there will be death threats and harassment for months. Getting rid of URF for Draven Day was a mistake and disrespectful, yes, but that doesn't mean anyone should be subjected to that treatment. Don't be douches guys, demand for URF and state you opinions, that is completely fine, but don't become an ass and use this mistake to justify being toxic.
Sorry for the long read but I felt this post was needed as some people where getting a bit out of control
Also: Daily reminder that we still want Solo Que Riot :3
