But those reworks are the ones constantly pushed aside by Riot, mainly Yorick as he has an incredibly toxic kit, is removed from the free champion rotation, and they said they regret releasing him.
Yet they STILL haven't reworked him.

Yorick is just unfair in lane by just using spells to harass without doing anything and being rewarded with damage and tankiness to boot.
Gangplank is like Darius, extremely oppressive to melees with a perma slow.
Darius oppressive to melees but the worst against ranged.
Nybx4life1 votesUh, I'm no top lane player, but I'm sure those guys (including Akali despite the fact she's used mid) can be countered fairly easily. Also, Darius has only one short-range pull for champs. a good ranged champ seeing this coming can avoid it and punish them for trying to get in close.
And GP, as far as I'm concerned, only has his Q for poke/damage. Many champs can punish him for trying to come in with the q.
My point is this: you know how to play against those champs, you won't have a problem. They're not even close to what many would consider a "cheese" champ these days.

Yorick: can be countered by Nasus, Cho, and Trundle fairly easy in lane.
Gangplank: Patheon, Olaf and Jayce can counter him hard
Darius: Olaf, Yorick, and jayce do really well too.
Sooko1 votesBecause despite being toxic, he still has weaknesses. I am not defending Yorick by any means. I find him boring to play as and vs, but to say his kit is the most urgent is just nonsense (looking at you, Shaco)
I don't really know what you want with Darius or GP. Darius is supposed to be a bully and GP's kit is currently outshined by Yasuo's in every way asides from oranges.
Akali just got nerfed quite heavily... And isn't even in the rework list, I think.
Cloud2731 votesI'd rather see Wukong nerfed before they touch Yorick. Yorick actually has mana costs, and his abilities don't scale that well TBH. Also he doesn't have stealth.
Killer X 121 votesYorick is only strong in lane, and since people who are actually good at the game can farm under tower (since yorick pushes waves) he isn't a problem.
Darius has a lot of level 1 and 2 damage, and a good level 6 spike...but he is very far from having a toxic kit.
Akali was literally just nerfed. If you are unfamiliar with WHY that is a big deal, then you've never played against a good akali. They took out her level 2 cheese.
Gangplank...is bad lol, he is so bad. Oh he crits you for a huge chunk? Well since that is he only damaging ability why don't you punish him every time he uses it -_-
Yorick hasn't been reworked because 1) no one plays him 2) he is actually easy to deal with out side of lane and his map pressure is minimal 3) His rework will have to still include ghouls since that is what identities him as a champion. That takes time to work out.
Note: I know Yorick is "strong" in lane, but much of his strength comes from people not knowing how to play against him. Anyone familiar with how Yorick works can have a pretty easy time in the laning phase. He is worthless without mana and all his poke has high mana costs. Kill him before his tear, or whenever he runs oom.
