ADCs dont really seem to belong in any meta.

They're weak and bitch constantly in every meta. Tank meta? QQ I do no damage. Devourer meta? QQ I get 1 shot.

Why not try something different like Zed bot with a support if you have an AP Mage mid? LCS DIDN'T GO IT LEL.

ADCs are different, and if people started, say, taking Assassins into bot, then ADC mains would change accordingly. Caitlyn, Ashe, and Varus would be valued for their longer ranges. Urgot would be valued for his tankiness and dueling. Vayne would be valued because Vayne.

Then there's towers. You can't dive everybody, and a Marksman gives a team a safe option for shredding towers from a distance, rather than having to get in melee to damage it.

Not if he duo'd with an offensive champion instead of a support who would match the adc's offense to teach him to not go attacking a Zed like a maniac

They were great in the late season 4/world's/preseason metas. That was fun. Everything past patch 4.21 was shit though.

I'm not sure any of the other posters in this thread are getting that OP was making fun of whiny little bitch ADC mains who think their role is underpowered, despite literally being the only role to be consistently required in almost all levels of play (Mordekaiser is sort of changing this).

Or at least, that's what I'm assuming.

People seem to forget ADC are mandatory because they're reliable at taking down towers.

Unless you fancy taking TF, Diana or Azir every game to win at the tower-melting game, ADCs will always be needed.

Their impact in teamfights is far less significant this season compared to previous ones. So yes, in relation to seasons of old, they are weak. This isn't to say they're bad, but Season 2 ADCs would wipe ass with Season 5 ADCs.

tbh This opinion of ADCs stems almost purely from Solo Q where everyone plays for themselves which usually leaves the AD Carry fending for his/herself.

Competent teams who actually invest effort in their ADC are one thing, but most of the time the ADC just gets neglected.

Zed bot would only work if Riot game him Mordekaiser's W Passive (evidently, it's also the only reason Mordekaiser bot works).
