IronStylus, any chance we could please speak about the Quinn TU that we were told had begun development almost 1 year to date?

Contextually, my understanding is that it was recompense for Quinn's rush-job in the visuals dept. & so it was essentially meant to be expedited to an extent (my impression is also that it wouldn't simply be finer contrast/lines but include a couple extra bells & whistles to really upgrade her design).

1 year & we've heard nothing; 2 years of trying.

I'm feeling really depressed feeling like your guys' backs are turned on us Quinn fans (not just visuals but game play too) :(

P.S. also, I really feel like we need a Riot-hosted "Let's Talk About Quinn & Valor" thread for the gameplay side of things. Do you know if any Rioter might please be interested in helping us to that end?

Hi.

I'm going to look into it. The texture artists who's in charge of our texture updates (RiotDanky) had mentioned Quinn the other day, and I forgot to give him my concept art for him to adjust the texture :P

Not exactly sure when it'll be done, there's a lot of other textures to fix obviously, but we've talked about it. I'm going to check with him on Monday.

In the future feel free to post any sort of visual update sort of topics in Story & Art, I'm there a lot more often :)

I actually spent a while today reading back on Quinn & just look at all the hype surrounding her pre-release which was all brought on by YOU!

It's awe-inspiring & truly marvelous how much instant acclaim she received. Unfortunately, I think a lot of Quinn fans' spirits are broken these days.

Fortunately! This' where you come in again, like a Phoenix from the Ashes! You can lead us, guide us to newfound heights of glory!

But in all seriousness, I think it's time we resurrected that part of every Quinn fan which got them giddy in the first place & I'm glad you're here to renew us.

Any impression you could give as to the extent you wish to take Quinn's TU? Extra bells & whistles beyond mere line/silhouette touch-ups? Maybe, yes? I hope! And not to come off as greedy but do you think you may please want to convince RiotDanky on our behalf to mildly expedite her TU?

Simply because we were told that someone was on it approx. 11 1/2 months ago & (it appears?) that didn't happen & was never followed through (part of the reason I & I believe a number of others feel really dejected; not to pin blame but merely to provide context to my/our feelings).

Honestly, I'm fine to put all of it behind us if we can actually make something happen this time. Even if we can't right away, so long as there's appropriate follow-through, I'll be totally happy.

Like I said elsewhere, I'm not assuming or presuming that you or anybody else at Riot intended to forget or ignore us. Bygones can be bygones, just the fact you're here writing speaks volumes to soothing my past bitterness/saltiness over those circumstances.

Anyway, I'm ranting because I'm just so incredibly excited! I don't want to bog you down with a depressing pity story of what I experienced in the past...

That'll be moot though so long as they're flexible with regards to making major adjustments to the design if fans are widely displeased. I just think involving us may make for a solid 'olive branch', if you will. Food for thought, something worth his consideration if you think you'd wanna forward this last point on my behalf...

P.S. if you do happen to reach out to him once more (humbly), please do be sure to extend my personal thanks for the potential 'bumping up the list' of Quinn's visual changes.

Idk. Food for thought I guess, but frankly--now that I know action is taking place & hopefully that we're getting momentum on Monday, I don't know if I'd want to cause any potential delay(s) as a result of waiting on thread results. Also, like I said, I trust you as a designer (especially for Quinn, I know you love her too), so there's that :P.

I hope, I really hope that this means that you get to give her the visual-justice now that I know you personally desired when she was originally drafted.

I remember you wanting more for her but pipelines and such, so I wish your dream for her fulfilled out of this TU (just as much as mine will be, actually more so). I feel like this may even be a sort of passion project for you to achieve what you'd originally wanted for Quinn & Val. If that's true, I'm really happy you have some opportunity here :).

Anyway, I don't know your vision but I believe in you to fully deliver just like you did way back when with the original Art Teasers for them... I have faith in whatever your vision may be for the dynamic duo :).

I've gotta run, can't wait to hear how Monday went!

P.S. when you said, "I'm going to look into it," did you mean you'll also be looking into my P.S. regarding gameplay from the Main Post here? I apologize if I'm reaching now but many players are also very unhappy with her buggy-ness & clunky autos, amongst other things (myself included, sadly; even though I love her, I've turned into hating to play her due to her fickleness)... so I'm speaking to their behalf (mine too) here. It's also just a clarification so I don't get my hopes up too much if I'm wrong :P.

P.S.S. I'll be sure to use Story & Art next time! It just confused me because I don't naturally interpret art as a "Champion Visuals" category (although I can see it now). Thanks for the invitation over to there :)

@Ironstylus Nice! Glad to see that you guys have the Duo in mind! :D Hopefully her bug fixes will hit the pbe anytime now,Plus as someone who actually loves her concept ,kit and character,I would really like to hear more about her lore!Loved her teaser journal entry and the Frejlord one, but what are her relationships with other champs exept J4? (e.g Lux,)And I am still confused on how did her brother Caleb got killed (got attacked by a monster or got trapped/killed in an accident?),Plus did she only "studied" on Talon rather than encountering him ? Anyways I hope to hear more for her and Val soon and I hope that the Duo will receive the love they deserve at the end! summoner 31

I automatically upvote all Quinn threads, because she doesn't get the visibility she deserves. I mained her last season with a 60% win rate but got fed up with all the bugs.

Thank you! I agree. From her very first teaser, I was hooked; I fell in love with her instantly & once she was released, I put all my best efforts into maining her & only her (I even have multiple Quinn-only smurf accounts).

Unfortunately, I felt like I had to give her up because she was more aggravating than healthy to play due to all her bugs & clunkiness.

All that to say, I feel you :(

Fair point. I was really confused as to where to post being that it's not really a "skin or champion concepts" thread.

At this point, I'm okay to have this thread bumped down as I just learned from Red that IronStylus is viewing it.

I'd delete it & move it but now that I know he's reviewing it, I don't want his link to get broken & the connection be lost.

Yeah my bad, I couldn't figure out a good category for it. "Story & Art" doesn't even apply, they need a "Champion Visuals" category.

Admittedly, I did avoid Miscellaneous since that category is nigh-worthless for such threads. So I can be fairly de-merited on that point :/.

Blame me as you will, I accept it; I've just become very desperate as it's been two years of vying for legitimate Red attention on Quinn.

Quinn's textures look fine....

I wouldn't mind some extra love for Quinn though, unlike other ADC's (cough Vayne Ezreal cough) it seems like people who play Quinn know exactly what they're doing. Every single Quinn player I have played support for has been nothing but friendly and still effective in combat, I tend to enjoy games with Quinn as my ADC more than any other.

Quinn top is another story however......
