Ranked placement games from hell?

I have only had a few placement games, and they have all been extremely unbalanced. I have ended up losing lane moderately, and then looking at tab to see that the enemy Jarvan iv jungler is literally 14/0/5 with ridiculous cs. It seems like whatever team is lucky enough to get more better players wins before the game even begins. It feels like a one way tilt train to hell tbh, especially when the score is 8-37 and my team won't surrender. I am wondering if the quality of these placement games will improve quickly, because I can't take many more games like that.

Does this get better quickly?

As memory serves, season start is a time for smurfing the lower elo. It's a pure poofest with high elo players ending up in bronze/silver and rolling you, while you have a small chance of getting them, you also end up with the AFKers and people who have no idea what to do. It's just a poofest. It starts to chill out a bit in a couple months.

Will it get much better after I play a few more games and the system has a better idea of who to matchmake me with?

Yes, and no. Smurfs and people in placement games are a total part of that package regardless of where you placed and when. If you end up in Bronze, you're likely going to see those really wonky one-sided games in excess regardless of how many games you play. It's a time thing I think.

This is a time for smurfs to roll through placements. This is why early season i play my main and then later i roll my 2 smurfs so i dont have to play other smurfs haha
