What does Wukong offer that's diffrent then Shaco????

I'm considering them both. It seems like Wukong is tankier and his ult is powerful in teamfights so he's more flexible, while Shaco is more of a skirmisher and split pusher when lane-ing is over. Is that essentially correct?

Mastering Shaco gives you AP and AD options using the same champion. Which has a lot of value. Shaco is better at picks/mayhem in the jungle. Wukong is better at teamfights,

Both make great roamers with item 3147. Simply knowing there were no wards on your path is great, and they both benefit from the bonus dmg.

Wukong has meaningful cc Shaco has tilt Wu is much easier to learn, though. So I'd recommend him. Shaco requires you to get into the head of the opponents.

Wukong is much more flexible, but his early game can be very dicey. In the jg he gets slapped around pretty hard by camps, and in the toplane he gets slapped around very hard by juggernauts. Wukong however shines at the lategame since his ult is a game-changer.

Shaco on the other hand is the king of the early game, his invisibility is long, he has many tricks and the single best first clear in the game. He does however lack CC, which makes him de-scale very harshly on the lategame if not ahead.

actually, he has crowd control but it only actives after a second or two

his boxes fear every enemy in their radius so he can toss them into an enemy team

Unless I'm mistaken, the boxes will only attack one person at a time, so unless his clone explodes he's only going to cc one person. Wukong on the other hand can potentially cc your entire team.

The fear is AoE, the damage is single target.

so, as themoonlitshadow stated, he can potentially have a very devastating crowd control if he places it right in the middle of enemies, but usually only one or two are affected

even so, fear can not be cleansed and his crowd control also leaves a potentially devastating amount of damage where each box can do up to 100% of his AP

Wukong doesn't have an escape after he goes in (even though his decoy is on a VERY short cooldown with max cdr). Shaco doesn't have an escape either, but good luck chasing him through his boxes. So in that regard Shaco is a much safer champ. Shaco can usually burst down one person and then he doesn't have much else to offer until his stealth is back up. Wukong is much better in teamfights cuz he can cc an entire team.

If a leap that is also stealth isn't an escape, what is?

But he usually uses that to engage. He dies to cc, and is reliant on backstabbing, so he usually has to engage with it.

Riot tried to hide it but, Wukong is actually Kakarot. During the diver rework their going to give different abilities; Kamehaha Q, Kaoken W, instant transmission E and as an ult will be spirit bomb. I hear during the spirit bomb if you give him your life force he can end the game in 3 hours instantly.

What? The two are completely different.

Wukong is a tanky diver who has one of the best team fight ultimates in the game. If built full AD, he can have some good burst. He can

Shaco is a bursty assassin who has a flexible build path and one of the best early games in existence, but has utter trash team fights and is nonexistent in the late game.

Yep, that's pretty much it.

MonkeyKing can be built full AD viably, and that + his ultimate makes him a very strong solo carry (like Annie or Kennen or Rumble) He can also be built as a bruiser.

Shaco is pretty much the definition of skirmisher. Also, I have occasionally seen people build item 1416 item 3748 and tank on Shaco and he rips apart teamfights with his ultimate. This isn't his best build but it can work quite well. And you can even throw in a item 3071 for AoE shred if you want. The reason it's so good is that while his clone deals reduced AA damage, it deals full on-hit damage. So basically, your clone is doing nearly as much damage as you and it's sort of a 6v5.

Does Shaco have TONS more kill pressure in the laning phase? I have certainly been lead to this impression, but I'm not sure if it was my elo hell teammates just not respecting Shaco's invisibility and damage.

damage reliable cc armor reduction (gives everyone damage) better wave clear doesn't die everytime a tank sneezes

Um... AD, tankier, knockup, aoe damage dash, auto attack modifier with extended range on q, W has "outplay" potential other than stealthing and running away (at least it did before riot ruined all forms of stealth,) aoe knockup that does large ammounts of damage, looks much better visually.

shaco is ap while wukong is ad.

shaco is single target, wukong is aoe.

shaco is more about solo play, wukong is more about teamfight.

Wu is fun to lane against.

Shaco is not.

No one can argue that Shaco top isn't bs against divers/fighters.

Its much much better to have a wukong who can engage for the team than another squishy jg to go along with the squishy bot and mid. All the pressure is on the top to engage and if he's squishy u cannot team fight unless already ahead

Wukong is squishy

Shaco Pick potential, less telegraphed and 100:0 potential, better assassin MonkeyKing AoE CC, better bruiser
