Grievous wounds feels so gimmicky...

summoner 14 is the only thing that has grevious wounds on it that doesn't feel like a massive gimmick. You can actually use ignite at certain times to counter a massive heal. (Example: predicting when someone is going to use summoner 7 and igniting them right before it to kill their healing. Or seeing Vladimir about to use a charged Q and igniting him right before he uses it, ETC.)

Every other grievous wounds item just feels like blatant laziness, like riot doesn't want to properly balance healing champs. item 3165 built for mages who spam spells "magic damage delt to champions inflicts them with grievous wounds" so essentially as long as your mage isnt a potato the enemy team is going to be practically perma grievous wounded in a team fight. item 3033 built for adcs who auto attack, no thinking required just continue doing what you're doing and Debuff the enemy team just like morello, 0 thought required. item 3075 I actually like thorn mails grievous wounds, it has counter play in the sense that if you're playing an adc that rely on healing don't AA the tank, or if you're playing vlad don't aa the tank and cuck yourself. I like that, if you have a brain you can counter play around thornmail slightly.

I just wish item 3165 item 3033 just werent so braindead, make it an active or something. "item 3033 active, launch a piercing arrow that hits all enemy champions in a line, enemy champions hit are applied grievous wounds for 8 seconds." it feels so much more interesting like that, if i'm playing WW I can atleast dodge the arrow or do something to negate the healing.

It would even be neat perhaps if the active made it so you were unable to heal at all for 5 seconds or something like that.

Grievous wounds just feels lazy and fake, Vladimir when you don't have item 3033 is overwhelming and then when you do have mortal he feels like a potato.

I think grievous wounds should be way more unique than an onhit debuff.

Actually I think they should remove it from AD itemization but that's just me. It's far too consistent and they are already great at killing everything else

I sort of agree, its weird seeing every class having grievous wounds. Again it seems like riots to lazy to balance healing so they add this gimmick.

It's an iffy solution to an iffy mechanic

I'll disagree on Morellonomicon. As someone who used to use item 3165 before they changed it, I'd have to say it's not as big a deal anymore. It used to also have 20% CDR along with the grievous wounds. It was my core build item for most of my champs then. Now I don't use it too often unless I'm playing a specific champ, because the CDR is actually a higher priority. I used to have my cake and eat it... now I have to choose.

I will partially agree on item 3033; maybe if they gave it a cooldown, like 4 seconds once every 30 seconds per champ?

With how they are changing it you'd be giving up additional penetration so it's a similar concept to Morello.

I'd say yes, but I can't convince my ADC to buy Mortal Reminder when the enemy team has Swain DrMundo Soraka or has Maokai Mordekaiser Taric .

To be fair though, there is plenty of healing in this game from items, so even if your champion doesn't have a specific healing interaction, you can give yourself one. Having healing cut vs a Riven with item 3812 makes it so that her shield and Q's don't absorb all that bleed damage.
