@Meddler Any Plans For AFK Players Post Remake Vote?

This is a reoccurring problem. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. In normal or custom games I do not care whether or not people leave or DC. What I have a problem with is when people do it in ranked games. It really isn't fair. I feel like you guys are punishing the good players that try to win a match, be positive, try to win the game . . . . . and lose because someone has internet problems, is toxic, and griefing. In Silver and Bronze it is VERY bad. I climbed myself out of Bronze V and all the way to Silver I, to get back down to Silver III because of players going AFK in the middle of the game. It's not fair.

I feel like there should be an option to vote kick someone that goes AFK or disconnects in a game . . . . post remake time. 90% of the time when this happens, other lanes are ahead and that one person is doing horrible and decides to blame everyone else . . . and then rage quits. Because we are one man down and no one is in his lane, he loses all of his turrets and everyone else has to compensate for his immaturity.

Do you have any plans to address DC and AFK players post remake time? I feel like it is a serious problem that needs to be addressed . . . . people are ruining ranked games for other people . . . . who are playing honestly, trying to have fun, and just want to climb. This "GET BETTER" tagline all of these high elo players keep insulting us about . . . . doesn't help at all. No one can carry an entire lane or game when we are down one man and his opponent is fed and has both turrets.

What do you want to happen? best they can do is ban them. but with millions of players in a free game, this will Always happen.

  • statistically, AFKs on the enemy team are more common than on your team. You probably gained elo due to AFKs if you count all your games.

Again, someone blaming the person and not the actual problems with the game. It's not my fault. Stop blaming the person who is connected in the game and trying to climb themselves out. I don't leave games or go AFK. I have never done it in the years I have been playing LoL.

Yes they can. After a specific amount of time and when someone is AFK for a said time, the team should have the option of replacing that person with someone else. The player coming in gets all the gold up to the time. I would rather have a completely new person that is behind and playing the game, than someone that is toxic and leaving on purpose.

That creates a whole new problem of people "filling" in games where they didn't pick their champion or even know what role they are in. This is completely impossible to implement for a ranked queue, maybe for a casual mode where people don't care if they win the game or not. You need to think about the ramifications of your suggestions before you just throw stuff out there.
