Why does ryze get like 6 reworks before other champs who are far bigger problems get one
Its so frustr- oh wait, LC$/pro play. Gotcha

It's not really a full rework, just changes to the effects of abilities. The abilities themselves are still the same. But I do agree that it's a bit sad that Riot prioritizes Ryze over other champions that need some help:
What I fail to understand is that Ryze can have 6 reworks and yet his most unhealthy ability persists through all of them.
Please explain to me how a 2-second targeted root is fun or engaging.
They're changing that now. In order to get the root, he has to hit them with spell flux first.
That will only reduce his effectiveness further. It needs to be a skillshot. Otherwise it simply drains too much power from the rest of his kit. Spell Flux as it stands right now is basically a useless ability (which might i add is also targeted) which only serves to amplify his other abilities. With this change, good Ryze players are only prevented from getting their combo off by an extra 0.2 seconds. That's not a big difference.
At the end of the day it's still a 2-second targeted root. This hasn't changed since ALPHA. They've just been nerfing and nerfing it and trying to make it work. It simply doesn't.
If Ryze were built like Xerath, and all his currently targeted abilities were made into skillshots, he'd be unusable. He needs to see substantial work instead of half-hearted "changes" that don't change him at all.
Targeted, undodgeable abilities are not healthy for the game.
