As players, we should push for changes to this LUCK dependent rank system.

In this system it is possible to be a brand new player and get carried in your first rank placements and place in gold or high silver when you really haven't earned it. Though less likely it is also possible to reach plat elo, while being far worse of a player than other players that are stuck in gold elo. And of course we have the people who are at least silver level, stuck in bronze. The fact of the matter is, unless you are good enough to stomp the lp out of your opponents, whether you climb or not is gonna be greatly effected by the luck factor. The guy who gets the better team 60% of the time, is gonna climb while the one who gets one 40% of the time is trapped, even if they're both similar skill levels. A solution I thought of would be to have MMR impact lp gain even more than now, but have MMR increases/decreases based mainly on performance. Now in order to do this Riot would have to tweak the system a little bit.

Concept

So if you are performing great against G3 players then your MMR would climb to G2 or G1, similar to how it is now but based on performance not wins. You would still gain and lose lp for losses but here's where the second part comes in. The effect of MMR would be greater, because now the game knows that you are without a doubt, better than the people you're playing against. So if you lose a game with a high mmr, then you will lose less lp based on how well you played in-game. Maybe 25% less for an A, and 50% less for S's. But winning a game would come with the same system. So if you win a game with a C or a D then you're gonna gain less as well. A B will probably be the average, you won't lose or gain anything more. This wouldn't be designed for you to gain more lp for S wins, or losing more lp for D losses, it would just be there to make performance matter in those games where you did nothing, or did everything and id didn't matter, so you'll never have a reason to complain.

Grading System

One, the grading system is good but it needs to be even better. In order to do this method grades need to take everything into account, so every playstyle will be effected. If you died 10 times on tryndamere, but did 5x more damage to towers than anyone on your team, you deserve an S. Same if you are an Alistar and die 10 times protecting your adc, who only died twice thanks to you then you deserve an S for that. That last one is kind of tricky, since it's a very specific stat, but I hear Riot can tell a lot more about players based on their in-game performances than we know. Like how smurfs are properly matched with smurfs in low level games, they have their ways. If Riot can get the grading system to properly reflect the play of every type of champion/player than this system would be a success.

Well what do you guys think about this idea? Do you guys agree that we need some kind of change to the rank system, and do you think this idea is that answer or should we go another route?

One thing they already do is give you a grade based on your performance compared to other runs with the same champion in the same role. Why not use some of that too?

Right now, you can go 35/0/0, and your team can lose, and you'll do nothing but lose LP. This 35/0 guy will get an S+, and take the full LP loss because he couldn't carry his whole team. If you get an S in a loss, or even an A, it should dampen the LP hit during such games. The same should work in reverse for wins.

You can go 0/35/0 and get totally carried, and still get the full LP gain. But if you got an D- in that game (lowest grade I've ever seen, not sure if an F is possible), it should dampen what you gained because you performed very poorly.

i agree with the rest of your concept, except you first part where bash on players that "didnt earn" burh.... you dont earn anything until you are in diamond. anything before that rank is just a rank. focus on your standing, not on others. but nice concept after the blaming jealousy, i like it
