We really need to be able to report in champ select

Binxy Prime·7/20/2015, 9:15:35 PM·92 votes·3,316 views

This happens all the time, someone calls mid and they are last pick and first pick grabs mid and the other person locks in clairvoyance clarity teemo and forces our team to dodge because he is an immature jerk. This should be reportable, even if we cant do it easily by right clicking them we should at least be able to easily report them after the lobby by clicking a button. I should not have to write a ticket to support every time this happens, which I do because these people do not deserve to play games with the rest of us civilized people.

the thing is then people would report there teammates for not playing the meta which would be unfair

No. This is not a good idea. Then people would report you in champ select if you called mid first, but they wanted it, and it would just get out of hand. Basically, this could be easily abused.

I'm currently B5 with -6 LP because of this crap. It was -3 LP when I dodged after my team refused to pick a single champion who's even remotely tanky, ignoring my pleas. Anything can win in bronze, but I honestly have never won a match, in ranked or otherwise, with an all squish team. The next time I try to play ranked two weeks later, this happens, causing me to dodge again and drop to -6 LP.

Pick #1: Lux summoner 4 summoner 3 "support" Pick #2: MonkeyKing summoner 12 summoner 14 "top" Pick #3: Jax summoner 4 summoner 11 (silence) Pick #4: Jinx summoner 4 summoner 7 Pick #5: Shyvana summoner 4 summoner 11 (silence)

Me: "Who's mid?" (silence) "WHO'S MID!?" (continued silence)

These should all be reportable offenses in champ select:

  1. Locking in for a role that's already been chosen.
  2. Threatening to troll/feed.
  3. Not calling out your role, especially when it's unclear (see above example).
  4. Expanding upon the previous one, an overall failure to communicate, not stating your role, or even a preference, and then refusing to respond when directly questioned about either.
  5. Trying to bully someone into going a particular champion/role.
  6. General toxicity.

agreed in bronze this is a huge issue. when your in a series and u lose the game because u cant dodge. then no one else dodges. so then you play a game with somebody in a poor lane situation with guy who didnt respect the pick order usually having a bad game. by bad game i mean they feed and have no cs or gold farm to speak of. so yeah riot needs to fix this before next season

A vote kick would be preferable as it would be less prone to abuse.

A ''vote kick" button would be more then great.

Report them trolls

Pff... not that simple bro. Technically the dude hasn't done anything reportable yet, so you can't just make a system that does "preemptive reports". World doesn't work that way.

Also, I'm pretty sure that on lower elos people would report teemo even if he would have proper summoner spells and own lane. Would make everything such a hassle and who the hell would read those millions of reports anyway? Didn't you people learn anything from the Tribunal experiment?

I think a team builder draft for ranked would be nice, but it is impractical. The higher elo players already have to wait a long time to play as it is. It would be nice for low elo, (such as silver) but I cannot see them being able to implement it.

However, the idea of having a system where you could pick two roles before game that you prefer could make ranked a little better. You then would at least play a role you wanted to play a majority of the time.

For low elo players such as myself it would make ranked more fun I feel. I can understand why Riot would not want to do this and may take the stance that you should have to be able to play all roles and work with your team. I get it and I do not mind filling since I have played the game a long time and can somewhat play each role. It just gets hard when you lose a bunch of games in a row where you get constantly trolled before the game starts and forced to play roles over & over again you may not be confident in.

I guess the ultimate question is what skills is ranked truly trying to measure. If you were allowed to always lock in your two favorite rolls, then ranked would be more heavily weighted on how well you can play those certain roles alongside your team. The current way, is basically measuring your skills at playing the game at any role and working with your teammates no matter how immature, unskilled, etc. they may be.

I would troll by choosing revive+tp yi, and switch it over to what I'm actually going to play at the last second if people were already flaming each other in champ select.
