Subject 51 votesIf somebody built cleaver first then that means they're likely going to be aggressive, so ask for ganks.
On top of that, if they built cleaver first then they're going to be super easy to kill compared to an item that gives resistances, so kill them quicker.
If they didn't build it first item then laning phase is over with, the game is coming to an end already and this argument is invalid at this point.

You seem to be under the impression that building defensive stats when you need defensive stats against an enemy with is not an option because you would get 76% of one of those stats... after the enemy has already struck you a half dozen times.
