I am stuck in elo hell with PROOF

Keitron··11 votes·6,100 views

I want to remind you what elo hell means, at least in my terms: Almost every game you get a feeder/troll or a highly unskilled player on you're team thus losing many games and you can't carry.

proofhttp://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=keitron -look at K/D/A of teammates compared to mine.

I play a lot of champions i do not really have a main yet when one is feeding on my team i look him up, surprise surprise he is feeding on his main. Everyone has a bad game yes but why is it happening to my teammates almost every time, if you look at my match history i am never feeding always carrying however sometimes my lane is stale or i am ganked half a dozen times and i absolutely hate when i am support because unless i am Velkoz no way in hell can i carry, worse Velkoz is horrible in this meta. Statistically you should have less trolls because its a 60-40% from enemy side to you're side to have a troll if you don't. Lately however this is troubling, it was true in gold and below but for plat... meh.

People say elohell does not exist but it does, it does for me ever since i was in gold season 3-4, if you argue against please respond in the comments rather then downvote right away.

TL:DR elo hell exists and i have proof and why, also i know my grammar is bad.

My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 21, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because ELO Hell gave me cancer anyway.

Support can carry too... at least as well as top can.

Keitron2 votes

Example? I usually carry top by TP down bot when needed but support on the other hand, lack of cs really hurts you're ability to carry.

IllllllIIIIlllll2 votes

You won't be making flashy duels or outplays but a good support carries the ADC and prevents the other ADC/jungler from getting fed.

I usually don't like tp ganks because my enemy top laner just takes my tower or at least forces me to lose a couple waves of cs (most of the time, both). But yes, if you are heavily winning lane, you can carry from top. I just feel it's not as easy as with support.

I main support, and how you carry as one is easier than one would think, but also more difficult.

The idea: keep mid and ADC alive. Roam to get pressure on the map, ward the enemy jungle/your own to keep vision of any roaming enemies, and use the utility found in supports to set up picks and zone out enemies from objectives

Do you have any video of this over a good amount of consecutive games of this happening?

Brand support carries in mid-high plat if you can get against a Jinx or a Vayne.

At least from personal experience.

Higher rank means harder to actually carry. You rely on a team more in plat/diamond than you do for bronze/silver.

I feel for you bro, and it's really unfortunate that you have so many trolls/feeders but there's just one problem here, which is your own mindset. I know trolls are annoying and there's not much you can do but mute them but a lot of people who feed aren't specifically doing it on purpose. I remember when I first started playing league and I just sucked d-ck. The worst part was, I was actually trying hard to beat my enemy in lane I just lacked mechanics and knowledge. All my teammates ever did was flame and blame me for the loss until eventually I gave up on trying and just trolled (we all have those troll moments). The point is, league is a team game and you can't really expect to win if all you ever think is, I've gotta carry this, etc etc. If someone isn't doing so well, ask them what they're struggling with, help them out, give them tips. If you're excelling in mid lane and you're super fed, you need to share your power and help out bot or top rather than thinking that everyone else is an idiot and you have to carry. The other problem I see here is that you're putting a lot a lot of blame onto everyone else, when really, you should be thinking and reflecting on yourself, about what you did wrong and could've done better. Even in games where you're fed/win, you still will make mistakes and to get better, you have to learn from it and share that knowledge with others. A player I know once told me that you have to play League to learn, not to win. If you're on a tilt just spam Normals and get better. If all you care about is winning, you're not going to get better and neither will your teammates. Help them get better and be a nice person. I hate being nice, and I myself get frustrated af when I get an idiot on my team but instead, I just rant out loud rather than in chat and just compliment them when they do things right and give them criticism in a non-offensive or antagonistic way. Maybe I'm wrong, and you might disagree with me but Elohell only exists because people view it that way. I personally never really get many trolls and feeders and when I do, they're easily ignored and my team can somehow win the game anyways, with decent communication.

Keitron4 votes

I hope you won't be offended but there is huge different view points between bronze and high plat but its so rare for a troll to be in plat 2 but feeders are everywhere. The problem i have right now is i am not the one who is feeding my teammates are everygame and i keep on losing making me salty and making me write this post.

The Queen Viper2 votes

If there are "feeders everywhere", how come you managed to climb through Gold to Platinum 2?

You do realize that you are clearly contradicting yourself here?

You are suffering from confirmation bias and you have eaten too much PJSalt, which is why you are not using your brain when you are writing here.

Keitron2 votes

I am sorry but how stupid are you? All i have been talking about here is how hard it is too carry my plat games because of feeders and i can not grow. Look at my games did you even click the link? Almost all my games there are feeders winning or losing i am carrying, that is elo hell that is my problem i climbed through gold because i have a way higher skill then them but in platinum i still have a higher skill but not enough to carry 4 others, if you do not understand this then you can piss right off. Oh and nice no life playing 2000+ games of cass ranked pretty sad bro pretty sad.

The Queen Viper2 votes

U mad bro?

Just get gud and you will climb.

Keitron2 votes

I am good and i climbed but i was in elo hell and it does exist.

The Queen Viper1 votes

Nope, it doesn't exist. Also the very fact that you climbed, proves that.

Please, stop being delusional. :)

Keitron1 votes

Yeah after 800 games of nonstop playing but the fact remains for the people with out the time can't climb because of elo hell.

The Queen Viper1 votes

Wrong.

Of course people don't climb if they don't have the time to play & practice... that applies to every sport and other things; If you don't commit / have dedication, then you don't get anything out of it.

Some people do climb faster, and that's mainly because they are good at the game already. People who are not, it naturally takes more time to get good and start climbing.

There is no "elo hell". It doesn't exist. Some people just aren't as good as others.

JARmates1 votes

It unfortunate most people in rank aren't as good as me or else I would be able to carry you to the promise land.

This may be the best post I've seen on this topic, even though I disagree with a few of your points. Very well said, sir, and kudos to you. As you rise higher in tiers, though, you get farther from the negative feedback loop of true ELO hell.... players can become part of the problem that was trapping them... bad things become self-fulfilling prophecy, as it were. These are the dumbest comments ever. "Oh your own mindset blah blah crapmouth"

You ignore the whole point of the post. Everyone has room to improve, everyone knows that. But having room to improve doesnt mean his play isnt solid, and him improving some isnt going to do anything to change the quality of his teams/(or the ones who quit/arent there).

AFK's, feeders, and really bad players are orders of magnitude more imnpactful then slightly and slowly increasing your skill.

Not to mention you are putting all your emphasis in bad attitudes and ignoring the afk's/bad players aspect of it.

People like you have taken what is a situationally good advice and recycled it to be basically worthless and ignorable.

Go away.

/edit and I just noticed the ppart where you said "I trolled we all have our troll moments". No. You are exactly the problem he is referring to.

oreosauce2 votes

Thanks for your response man. I didn't mean that your gameplay and the outcome of your game depending solely on attitude, but it plays a really big part in the game. I did not "recycle" any advice nor did I make any worthless and ignorable. If you have advice that you think actually helps and is proven to be useful, by all means, say it. You talk about me as if I am exactly one of those trollers and afkers. I'm not, and I take every game I play in ranked seriously, for my sake, and the sake of my teammates. I don't troll 24/7, nor is it a regular thing I do when I'm about to lose. I have had a few troll moments, but those are usually when I'm queuing up with my friends in 5v5 normals, and it's just to have fun. True, mindset isn't everything, and I see your point. Half of what makes games successful is communication and teamwork, and my point (though probably unclear) was that if you have a good mindset, you will be less likely to make huge mistakes in game, and you continually improve during the game when caught in similar situations. Also, being in a neutral mood will help you work better with your team, and if you're carrying, then use that power to direct your team and let them know what you want them to do (ex: group/take tower/splitpush/etc). I myself have gotten many AFKers on my team and we just make do with what we have (ex: having jungler fill in for afk). I'm just saying there's no point in just giving up when you find yourself in the midst of a troll/afk and then calling it elohell.

I haven't logged in for four days because of the terrible losing streak I've been in for well over a week because I've been getting matched with some of the worst players I've ever seen.

One of my recent matches I was 23/8 as Kassadin and ONE single person caused me to lose, which is something I don't care for at all in this game, the fact that one person can be the downfall of an entire team, and I don't want to try to progress in ranked because of this.

I try to make the best decisions that I can at my skill level but it always boils down to the people I'm matched with.

I'm not the best player by any means, but if I do end up doing poorly it's never as bad as the rest of my team.

Keitron2 votes

Tell me about, when someone is tilting i usually give them as many kills as possible to help them comeback.

LaceUp231 votes

Only thing I'm going to say is this: A silver player posts this same exact picture and it gets downvoted to hell. A plat player posts it and it gets upvoted.

Keitron2 votes

I never posted a picture.

LaceUp231 votes

My apologies, I meant link. Though they would also get downvoted to shit for posting a picture of their recent games.

Keitron2 votes

The reason behind this at least to me and me only is because if the top players came into plat they would still carry yes but they would have to try harder. Anyone can come into bronze from higher division and do well, the problem i have is i can't carry against high skill with high skill only so many abilities and choices that you have, this high you need to rely on you're team more but like i said my team is always poo and feeding so that is elo hell.

LaceUp231 votes

It is still 1 player doing much better than the rest of their team, but losing because they can't solo carry. It doesn't matter what League you are in, it's the same. If you are shitting on Bronze players, but can't carry, then you could still deserve a higher rank...even if it's just silver. The same "if you were better you would carry", and "you're at the elo you belong" arguments can be made to you.

Keitron1 votes

Ask almost another plat and they will tell you this, you have to rely on you're team more if they do bad, you will have a harder time carrying, sometimes i can carry if my team sticks too it but other times its all oger now.

The Queen Viper2 votes

Nah... they both get downvoted since they both are delusional.

Keitron2 votes

Why do you come here just to say what you think and not what is true.

The Queen Viper2 votes

I came to tell the truth, as you can clearly see. Again, "elo hell" doesn't exist.

He did that video when he was in bronze in season 3 im talking about plat in season 5 where i get feeders everygame.

EDIT: 1 He first talks about elo hell that you're bad if you say it is you're excuse but i have bloody proof just look at my match history im never feeding always carrying.

2 Then he talks about once you get kills you have to help other laners and if you lose itss all you're fault. I 100% agree to this never once have i been so fed i lost i always share the wealth when possible and carry my team to victory that is why i hate bot being isolated and never being able to gank.

3 I used to blame in gold all the time i stopped giving a rat's ass in platinum because if they have not learned in plat why would they learn now. I always blame for MIA's and Bait's so these kiddies reserve their K/D/A ( if you call me out on this ill show you my bloody replays)

4 Then he talks about being a sheep i dislike the lcs and more when people auto lock and say "i saw it on lcs now i know how to do it" in ranked and go 0/10/0

5 Never watched a pro played for more then a minute, just moba fire builds for new champions.

elo hell exists in normal games too

surrender at 20 folks XD

idk if riot's lag is getting people at random or what, but some people just rush in intending to make big plays and...die

lol, it's funny when an enemy team is more afraid of the support than they are of the carries, but not fun when some supports just make instant kills possible

Yeah, whenever I win i only get 13 LP and lose 21. So I can win 2x in a row and that all goes away when I lose
