3 out of 5 surrender votes should be enough.

Very often the game is clearly lost. Enemy has all drakes/baron, it's 28 kills for them vs 6 kills for us. They have 7 turrets we got none. The midlaner is 0/9 the junger is 1/8

Yet people dont want to surrender. Sometimes just to troll. I experience troll duos sometimes. So everyone wants to surrender except for the troll duo.

Why can't 3 out of 5 be a yes to surrender? It is the majority.

"Clearly" lost to a lot of people seems to mean "Nasus is down 5 CS to the Darius", so let's not.

3 votes is not the majority. 4 votes is also not the majority, and also should not be enough for a surrender.

Using the surrender feature ends the match early for all 10 people, not just you. Your fun is not any more important than any of the other 9. Your team's fun is not more important than the other team's. When you vote to surrender, you are not just accepting defeat, you are trying to force people out of a match. The vote should not be "vote to surrender and give this team victory." it should be "vote to end match early with anticipated result." and acknowledge that if affects both teams. If anything, the vote itself should be open to both teams and require 6 yes votes, but I'd accept settling for needing 5.

6 yes votes? or 5? 5 yes votes is a team, so that means the winning team says yes to the enemy team's surrender and they get a free win. This encourages trolls beyond belief. One troll from a WINNING team starts surrender vote, the enemy team goes 5 yes, and the winning team loses the game for no reason.

I said "end match with anticipated result" which would mean the game would have measures to predict who is apt to win, and put that on the vote window. Which team started the vote wouldn't change which team gets the win.

At any rate you overestimate the number of people who would vote yes to get a win via the end-match-early mechanic. In all the conversations I've had about LoL, the topic that has always produced the second highest amount of complaints is when you're winning and the enemy surrenders. The topic with the most complaints has been debates about whether or not a given champion is op, but I digress.

Who doesn't want a quick match and LP? The amount of people that wouldn't surrender this are very VERY few. Especially in high elo.
