Its not okay when im smack dab in the middle of my ENTIRE TEAM (all 4 others were surrounding me) and my Rakan uses knights vow and shields me, yet i still die in 0.13 seconds to the fcking Shiv+Duskblade nocturne.

Yes, Duskblade is stupid right now. Regardless, Nocture is still supposed to kill adcs quickly - if he did that, then good for him. It would be Rakan's fault for not ccing him, the tanks fault for not ccing him, etc

I'm not saying Nocturne shouldn't be able to assassinate, or that he shouldn't be able to when 1v2. But 1v5, with the team actually doing their job trying to protect the carry? That's a problem with the amount of burst and the ease it's done with

Randomonium1 votesWhat I do is grab an edge of night and then ult. Forces teams to invest two forms of CC to stop you and usually they can't do it quick enough before you kill the ADC. Its kind of a dirty combo but it does require a rather large gold investment.

Besides, that's not the point wether or not he does during it, no assassin should be able to just jump into the middle of the team, who shield and defend their carry, and do it that easily and quickly. It's not a matter of Nocturne, I couldn't care less what he does. It's a problem of lethality (namely Duskblade)

This is the issue.
Everyone goes crazy when the assassin is able to make things happen. But they also can't tolerate the assassin being successful when the dumb squishy champions fuck up hard. And so we're left in a place where playing an assassin legitimitely feels like walking on eggshells. You need to play it JUST right to get the kill. Pick the perfect moment when there is just enough distance between the squishy and their team. Meanwhile ADC's can just shoot an auto attack to deal more damage than the highest damage skills in the game. With a regular draven build I hit 2200 damage on my auto attacks. TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED.
But it's not like mages are worse off. Although they're bet amount of AP has dropped, they always get 40-45% cdr and have a ton of utility added in. Lots of damage and AP benefited AP assassins, utility, tankiness, and cdr is making the mages shine pretty hard.
And yet if an assassin catches you in your team and nukes you it's a horrible problem. Let's be real now, how are assassins supposed to get through an ADC's core items, GA, maw of malmort, mercurial scimitar, bloodthirster, death's dance, phantom dancer, let alone the 20 million ways their support can now give them armor, health, damage, and resists?
And yet, when somehow the assassin gets through all this it's a problem with the assassin? Wtf?

The problem is not is not in shiv. I was getting 1shotted by Noc too who went full lethality. It's basically the old Rengar reincarnated.

I mean, Nocturne was always capable of one shotting idk where everyone has been.
That you think a squishy champion who does that on a 180-100 second cooldown is broken is what I'm most concerned about.

However, lethality now scales with the user's level instead of the target's level. This is why you're getting 1-shot by assassins as an ADC (along with the fact that ADCs usually don't have very much base armor anyway). The item is working as it's supposed to be - it's math. Long story short: lethality items are now better against squishy, lower level targets and worse against tanky targets.

Its All Skillzz1 votesyep duskblade is fucking stupid, and anyone saying the proc used to do more cause true damage, it did damage based on how much lethallity you had. so it was alot less. now it just does damage scaling with lvl up to 360 at lvl 18. the fact it disables vision already makes it insanely powerful. when the enemy has 2-3 of them you can put vision anywhere.
