Azir Main on Azir Buffs

Azir has felt perfectly strong for most of preseason. Assassins were the harder lanes and while they are strong in their on right atm, they are less of an issue for him kit wise than before. I tried flex queue for fun, and got placed B5. I didnt have much time in preseason, but I almost got out of bronze dropping like only two games with him before the HW monster returned last week. Although I went B5-G5 in season 5.

He does NOT feel particularly weak, and the problem is this patch is now a double whammy. The buff is way too big for experienced Azirs, that many solider's at far too early of a time. The reason its too big a buff is that with the Rylais change, Azir can get one of his two most important items even earlier with its price drop. He scales well enough for the AP decrease to be trivial, and the extra resilience now is far more valuable to the squishy bid god. Unlike many mages, the passive change isnt huge for him, since he can apply it so easily with soliders, which were multi target anyway, unlike many other Rylais users. The other issue with this is all the other midlaners who DEPENDED on Rylais got hit by the change way harder than Azir, for whom its hardly even a nerf, and are less of a threat as well.

Have not played since the patch dropped, but may as well go wreck havoc for a bit before Riot realizes their mistake :D

He does NOT feel particularly weak

Someone gets it, instead of ignoring his damage he can put down on you from across the map.

Azir is super weak still. Just because you do well with him doesn't mean Azir is good, all it means is that you're better with Azir than other people are with their champs. If you played a meta mage, you'd objectively do better since other mages can do everything that Azir does (except the shuffle) and better.

I was an Azir main through S5 and S6. Azir is the weakest he's ever been right now and the numbers don't lie. He's in the bottom 3 weakest champions in the game.

I would play azir but i cant get over that fact that the bird doesnt fly.

I feel like Azir isn't really that "weak." Just because he is at the bottom 3 doesn't mean anything, honestly. I was able to carry myself from bronze 3 to Gold I last season just using mainly Azir. He's good in low elo if you know how to play him because the game usually lasts awhile. However, on higher elo games, I know that he might not be effective because players from there tend to be smarter about early punishments and shutdowns, not to mention, games are usually shorter. However, I would love to see some changes. I just hope that they keep Azir's Q and W skills.
