RIP Bengi </3

Tract··6 votes·2,700 views

I have been a SKT fan since I started League and a big part of it was Bengi, every time they sidelined him I waited and watched every time he was put back in. Why the actual hell did they drop him D: Now 1/2 of SKT is gone :(

Peanut really stood out during worlds, hopefully he joins SKT, they could use his goofy shenanigans :C do it SKT!

or Looper... but they signed Huni. : ( even MaRin left LGD... he'd be a much better choice over Huni for top lane.

they dropped bengi??? [zombie-nunu-bummed]

He has wanted to quit since season 4, so I highly doubt they dropped him. He probably said that 3 is all the worlds he needs.

Leo10241 votes

oh my gosh, that's honestly saddening, he literally saved SKT at worlds and he was such a good player, that would make faker the only one remaining from their season 3 win right? aside from kkoma of course

They didn't drop him, he just didn't resign the contract; just left

yeah i read on it, same with duke and poohmandu, but i just don't want skt to sign profit, from his performance in the kespa cup even with most teams playing at 50% since it's a small tournament, he didn't perform as well as he should be as an skt player

Hopefully SKT doesn't make works this year.

No. Hell no. Faker, PraY, and Peanut should never, EVER be on the same team. Even just Faker and Peanut or Faker and PraY. Then there'd be almost no other teams to cheer for. As long as they're apart, we'll have rivalries. If not, we'll have an even more one-sided affair.

KT Rolster has signed Smeb, PawN, and Deft. PawN has health issues... but the roster is shaping up to be one that will rival SKT (Huni, Peanut, Faker, Bang, and Wolf - Blank sub jg, Profit sub top). Longzhu signed GorillA and PraY, so they may be a contender as well (depending on how their roster unfolds).

Edit: Now KT Rolster have signed Mata http://www.thescoreesports.com/lol/news/12027-mata-joins-kt-rolster

KT Rolster is Smeb, Score, PawN, Deft, and Mata. This is a really good looking roster (as long as PawN can stay healthy). Think they need a good mid sub though.

HOLY SHIT I CALLED IT http://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/18174583/league-legends-offseason-rox-tigers-peanut-signs-sk-telecom-t1

following esports on espn is about as sad as ted cruz cold calling for donald trump.

i mean, sure its an option, but ESPN 2 years ago was mocking "Esports" saying its not a real sport and there are just a bunch of fat people playing video games.

Welp, I hear Bengi and Duke are in talks with IMT and Huni's in talks with SKT so... this could be interesting

Huni is a weak pick for SKT IMO.

If he can regain some of his form he wont be the worst but he is wildly inconsistent so I hope the coaching staff sees something in him that the rest of us SKT fans don't (idk if you are an skt fan but whatever)

all he plays is carry ranged top. And he has a history of tilting. Darshan made him tilt so many times in the splits.

I put faith in kkoma to set him up to suceed, I personally look forward to this season as the first time that they might not be the strongest team and have to work together and improve to beat KT

Yea good luck,I for one see this as skts downfall

We will see ofc but I have hope that they can turn into a newer more aggresive attacking team with Huni and Peanut. If they can mesh the more conservative/reactive style that SKT was known for before with the pure talent and aggression of Huni and Peanut then this could be an exciting season between KT and SKT. Nothing is certain but Im (not actually cuz Im broke-thanks elementalist lux) willing to bet that Huni can be transformed into a top tier toplaner and challenge the regular greats of the toplane. KKoma is obviously the greatest coach of all time and I think he can take this team to another world championship. With KT showing one of the strongest talent wise rosters of all time- if not THE strongest team of all time I think SKT made a decision to take young talent with potential that they can coach rather than an older player. They are also building for the future when some of the "older" members retire or leave. idk but im looking forward to it

Do you think KKoma is going to ban Huni from playing champs like Quinn?

I honestly have no clue what their strategy going into this season is. The two new players have an aggresive style so it will be interesting to see what their playstyle will be

Yeah, no. While losing bengi was probably one of the worst decisions they made (as he was and has been their "clutch jg" for the past 2 years), they literally could not have found a better replacement for him. Not only did peanut dominate both skt jg'ers when they played in the regular season last year (forcing faker and bang to often hard-carry games or stall massively until lategame), but you have to think that he's coming into next year with a massive chip on his shoulder after what happened at worlds. I can understand a bit as to why they released bengi for peanut (getting rid of competition is never a bad thing), the problem I see more has to do with the fact that each region looks to only really have two "elite teams" right now.

That's good. Maybe we'll get another team winning for a change.

You win some you lose some ya know. Duke was by no means a bad player, he was pretty huge in lane, and went off once he got ahead. His TP's were iffy but when he took a crap on most lanes, it didn't matter much, except for when he DIDNT win lane, in which case he was a potato on Fakers back. He was somewhat inconsistant, and while Huni isn't exactly amazing, he is a bit less snowball-or-starve, and will likely fit well with Peanut.

Speaking of Peanut, while Bengi is admittedly the all time lord king of jungling, every season he takes around two full splits as his yearly warmup and derps arround until ascending and stomping on everything. I will seriously miss him, but while he was the right hand of God, Faker is pretty much full aggro 24/7, and while his mechanics make it work, Peanut seems to also only have full HAM mode on at all times. I mean now they have:

  1. agressive top
  2. agressive jungle
  3. agressive god 4.top tier fairly agressive adc 5.top tier fairly agressive support

They should still be amazing at drawing out games, but might be even better early game. We will see I guess, KT is stacked as actual fuck this year.

Faker is more worried about Huni and Peanut screaming in game than having to carry them. lol http://www.thescoreesports.com/lol/news/12059-faker-on-2017-sticking-with-skt-and-playing-with-peanut-and-huni

I just picture faker as the irritated old man dealing with two derpy kids.
