One Playerwho Approves of Preseason S6

Tract··22 votes·1,765 views

I have yet to find a single player who approves of season 6 so far. The masteries destroyed diversity, and the pacing changes(Turrets and gold gained), as well as the incoming minion changes, make the game boring. I am quickly loosing the drive that lead to my hundreds of games last season. Does ANYONE actually approve of the preseason???

And when the entire community, toxic players, nice players, casual, high elo, ect, practically UNANIMUSLY agree on something.....it means it's a problem

I actually like the new masteries. Now it feels like I can have offensive options outside of the "offense tree".

I also like Graves new Q, due to the fact it allows for thinking in its use.

Its good in that aspect, but they removed a lot of diversity. The old tree almost nobody used the utility part, now they do, that's good. But the old tree also had a LOT more options unlike now.

The Graves Q and passive is totally fine. The problem is the burst potential and his sheer damage, its so OP and combined with AOE just destroys teams.

I expect his damage to be nerfed. Though we also expected Vayne to be nerfed.

Joking aside, I'm happy for the versatility in his Q now and I'm fine with them tweaking the numbers.

As for options, I'll give you that but I also really don't miss the old masteries. It felt too much like World of Warcraft's old masteries. They were too cookie cutter, I just looked up what people recommended more often then deciding my own. I personally view that these encourage building on preference, which I like.

It's all different opinions though.

they always pull this shit, they rework a champion, make them stupidly OP, smack then down with ridiculous nerfs and will be forgotten for about a year before they tweak them VEEEERY slightly

they did it to skarner(twice), they did to morde, they did it to nasus(no rework just the nerf bit),they did it to olaf, they did it to karma, its gonna happen with almost every reworked marksman in this patch, i can guarantee it

It's just fine. If one side gets the items, so does the other side. It's not like, "only blue gets this OP item" etc. Everyone gets it. The changes are honestly really nice, as Sightstone was shit for upgrades, among other things. One complaint is the 800g grievous wounds. Makes one of my favorite tops cry like a little bitch against anything AD.

I quite like the game ending fast, and take it as a good change. Like look at those worlds scenes and meta which is supposed to be the magnum opus of this season. The game was so stalled it wasnt fun at all and was a farm fest. lack of diversity in the jungle, counterplay against certain champs. It was horrendous.

I really laugh when people are posting "comebacks" and "snowballs". You failed in lane, you shall pay for the price. That's all.

Also, early camps by someone other than the jungler should just not do it anymore now - no point in doing one if you cannot get level 2 from it.

I remember when this tactic came out season 5 started to become something odd. It's just so damn abusable. It was the start of pros skipping a part of laning phase, and in the end of this year they totally skipped all of it and everyone started to play hearthstone instead of watching worlds because its just game abuse and boring to watch than the poke meta. Because nothing damn happens and someone gets some random advantage!

They're making snowballing crazy strong. Minions get stronger, they're making ADC's and AD's period snowball harder, and generally making it impossible to win after losing against an ADC(melee or otherwise) in lane.

Games can end fast already if you want them to, its called surrendering. Otherwise, most of the playerbase literally PLAYS for the 40 minute-1 hour long games.

The only thing I dislike about the patch is the price increase on the AP items, other than that it's really not that bad.

I'm more excited for the game than I have been since season 2. IMO season 2 was the most fun season to play and I think these changes will push it more into that direction. I am interested to see how the game will be played with a season 2 champ focus but with season 6 skill level.

I generally approve of anything that generates a sea of tears from noobs that refuse to learn how to play or adapt to change.

I also really like Yasuo, Darius, Mord, and crits in general. I don't like the new Skarner. His pet rocks suck ass. I"m also really looking forward to trying Jinx with ER and permanently switched-on Manamune. But I have a feelign it won't be as strong as just straight up crit.

So what if all of us agree that this preseason is problematic? $ is all that matters, not the players who want to have fun. They can still have some fun, so its totally justified. All that matters is getting the majority of players to stay around giving rito money cuz they needz it. And if no one understands yet, this post is for the most part sarcastic.

Also I can't main vlad anymore until they buff sustain, so yeah...

I love how much faster the games are. If we stomp early game, just let us end before 25 minutes. Don't drag it out to 40 minutes for no reason.

If you stomp early you should be able to destroy them and push to end. But if you only do average early and the enemy is able to come back, then they should be able to. Just because you won one part of the game shouldn't mean you win the entire game, it should mean you have an advantage that you can abuse to win the entire game. Why even play the game if its not a challenge? 20 minute games are basically games that you 1v1/2v2 in lane and occasionally get a jungle gank and go for dragon... and then win. 40+ minute games are what I play this game for. They're all based on communication and skill, team coordination and decision making and any mistake can lead to your loss so its tense and exciting and is generally fun, unlike 20 minute games. If I wanted to 1v1 in a lane I'd play Mortal Kombat.

The people who are content or interested in the changes are experimenting with them instead of posting complaint threads on the boards.

They are also typically smart enough to wait more than two days before deciding whether the changes are good or now.

I like the idea of the adc changes and i also enjoy the new items. What i do have fault with however is the stronger minions as of patch 5.23, and the healing crit mastery. I still miss mana pots and sword of the occult but i will adjust and get used to the new changes. However, i do agree with most people and think mages could use a bit of love.

Too many responses for me to take it down, but I take back my above statement .-.

After playing a few games, its fine! And especially my beloved Azir is fine, and thats all I need <3

Plus I cant be mad at Riot when they are making Necro Azir <3 <3 <3 <3

I approve. I like where the changes are going, and I think the reworked champions and items are fun. Yeah, balance is a mess right now, but the point of preseason is experimentation so that things can get ironed out for the actual season (inb4 someone says "that's what PBE is for," PBE doesn't produce reliable balance data for a number of reasons, including a smaller and nonrepresentative player base, games being taken less seriously, everyone piling onto new champions/ items, etc). So there's your one single player. I think the boards have become intolerable, though.

I actually like the new masteries, items, and adc reworks. However, I don't get a chance to appreciate any of it because towers are made of paper and all games are one-sides stomps that end before 25 mins. :(

i rather enjoy it actually

I love how much faster the games are. I hated last season where you won in 20 minutes and took another 20 minutes to actually finish the game. I also love how early game is more important, early pushing is more rewarding, and that the TP meta is dead. All in all, I love the changes.

Deaeras1 votes

The only problem I have with this patch is that their is wayyyyy too much damage being pumped out from assassins and ADC's due to these new changes, leaving very little room for outplays. Zed also got gutted hard, and he now does very little damage compared to other champions.
