A solution to Xypherous' statement about vision upgrades being mandatory

Just make them like trinkets; you are unable to purchase them until a certain level. Peharps level 11, or level 16? A support is very unlikely to be at level 11 during the early game.

This way, support players do not have to have the feel that they are mandatory purchases, since they couldn't purchase them anyway.

This would allow Sightstone to finally have its so deserved upgrades, without both them being mandatory on supports and OP on junglers.

I don't know what you are trying accomplish. It still would be OP on junglers because junglers will reach level 11 faster than supports will... And honestly delaying it isn't a good idea if you ask me.

Is there any problem on them being OP on junglers? Junglers should be warding anyway... and they are actually better at that job than the support since they are constantly roaming.

"This would allow Sightstone to finally have its so deserved upgrades, without both them being mandatory on supports and OP on junglers." I'm quoting your words, what are your thoughts wtf. Anyways Riot wants sightstone NOT TO BE mandatory, at least on supports. Sightstone is mandatory right now on supports, nothing will change this unless riot just nerfs it to the ground.

Wait they don't want Sightstone to be mandatory on supports? I'd like to get some info on this if you have any, please.

They don't want that Ruby Sightstone is mandatory on supports. Basically spending your full income on vision is something they want to avoid. #endgamefantasy

Before Sightstone existed, the optimal way to play support was to only buy a passive gold generating item and the rest on sight and vision wards. There was also no cap on how many wards could be placed by a single person.

There was also a time where Sightstone had to be upgraded asap but then you would need to spend your first ~2000 gold on vision which isn't as exciting as buying actual items.

I remember playing back when I could stick 10 wards on the map by myself, and it was "a supports job to ward". But I was under the impression that sighstone (the basic one) was still supposed to be a must buy. Ruby, sure, isn't a requirement but the basic one was always a support must have. How else could you make up for only being allowed to have 1 pink and having to get the red trinket... Sometimes I wish I could place tons of pink wards again lol.
