This new 2019 ranked system seems absolutely terrible tbh

Basically you get a different rank for each role. The premise is that it "rewards players who play multiple roles" but in reality it is the complete and total opposite. Players that play multiple roles now have to climb 3+ times. Why? Meanwhile this is a massive benefit to people who are OTPs or that more or less int if they don't get their primary.

Guess how this system is going to work? Mr OTP is not going to give a single fuck about games that aren't in his primary role. Doesn't affect his main MMR or LP right? Now you get a shit ton of people who legitimately give zero fucks about winning the match they're in because it doesn't matter. You will get a shit ton of people who couldn't care less what their support or offrole rank is. Oh, but YOU are on your main role with this guy. At least with the current system they will actually try to win because it affects them just as much.

For the love of God Riot PLEASE don't do it. Do not subject us to another year of Dynamic Queue level of trash. People who cannot play more than one role do not deserve to be at the same rank as people who can.

FINALLY i dont need 2 accounts to play in plat and bronze. when i wanna have some chilled fun and dont wanna deal with normals bullshit matchmakeing giving me only master players on the enemy team and silvers on mine, i just go into mid/adc and i play in bronze... and if i wanna play serious, i go top/jungle/sup and be back in plat.

finally i can do it all on one single account <3

if i understand it correctly, and im giving riot way too much benefit of the doubt here, but its to finally put a end to people who feed their asses off when they get an off role in your higher ranked games. if you are gold for example then you should not get a bronze level support in your games because that bronze level support will be matched with other bronze level positional players. you will instead get a gold level support.

atleast this is how it should be. again, im giving these guys too much benefit of the doubt. clearly they dont think like this. hope they prove me wrong.

did u even read what he said? if u are platinum u will get WHOLE TEAM platinum not Bronze support or something like this

That's exactly how it reads. Those that are already bitching and whining about it are not reading the whole thing apparently because this is going to be a great change. For this reason. My guess is they are the same ones who bitch and whine about all changes.

U will get people who doesnt give a fuck about role in like silver only i guess cuz if u are gold/plat/diam u will be matched with gold/plat/diam on this role but idk its not on pbe so its jut guessing

Man, maybe it’s just me, but big changes like this make league less appealing. Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing for a long time and “miss” old league, but this new ranked system sounds awful.

If someone doesn't care about an off role, the new system will place players in a much fairer bracket than the old system.

Marketing the new system as one which "recognizes" achievements in multiple roles was probably not the best decision. However, you shouldn't let that distract from the fact splitting role mmr will give the system more tools to create fair games (whether or not fairer games will matter in a meta like the one we have now is a different question).

They did say they're going to have systems in place to ensure people care about their off-role matches.

Unclear what those systems will be, but throwing off-role matches could very well impact your main role climb.

I love this idea, and i think its long overdue, but my main concern is this:

You are a plat mid lane and your top is silver... you queue, you get top. So now you're in a silver game, because your top lane is silver elo. Well what happens if you swap with the mid laner, because they see that you are really plat mid lane. Now you have a plat mid laner going against a team of silvers.
