let's stop with this song and dance every release patch

Ivern Poppy Azir Kalista Ryze what is this his 5th rework? Gangplank TahmKench (rest in piece)

all frustrating champions that people claimed were weak on release.

i expect Camille to become considerably more complained about once people get a clue on how to play her and the multitude of options she has for combos

Azir was bugged and was weak on release due to bugs. Ivern was only considered weak by half the community. The other half knew his potential. Poppy was ACTUALLY a little weak on release, but then got buffed too much. Kalista was never considered weak. I don't recall Ryze being called weak. Gangplank was weird. Tahm Kench is true. He was underestimated.

AcidTheWarlock4 votes

Ryze got buffed decently.

Big Lincoln10 votes

kalista was considered terrible immediately on release. I remember, because for the first 2 or 3 patches of her people were maxing Q first. it wasn't until people discovered E max + Runaan/Bork rush that she really got reviled

FingerFlavored1 votes

Ivern was weak on release with around 40% win rate until they buffed him and new support items where released. Now he is a Demi god when he gets going.

SteelMankind1 votes

GP got like 5 nerfs in a row and was still considered a broken champion until his 6th made him only good if you one trick him. It just took people the better part of a year to learn how to use his barrels properly.

I specifically remember two nerfs to the armor pen on his barrel, a nerf to the barrel base damage, nerf to max number of barrel charges, Q not refunding mana if it kills, W mana cost increase, ult CD increase, passive ad ratio nerf, and a nerf to his base health. I don't think he's ever been buffed.

These nerfs only started happening like 6 months after his rework, too. I'm pretty sure his release state after rework was secretly on par with 420 weedwick

How did you feel about Taliyah Taliyah ? I remember alot of people complained about her on release for being "really weak". Was she weak as they said or was she in the same boat as Ivern Ivern , where only half the community knew what she was capable of?

I just hate the fact that she can miss half of her combo, but can out trade me with unavoidable true damage.

Spoofghoul2 votes

yea the problem is that she can convert the entire attack into true damage rather then just the bonus part

it sucks toi get hit with 750 true damage when ur just level 6

Troll for Trump1 votes

....

you mean when she's lvl 18?

Spoofghoul1 votes

nope she was level 7

with a sheen

but now that u say it, she isnt supposed to convert then entire attack into true damage at level 7

but she did anyway . . .

could this be a bug?

MissingKayo1 votes

You realize when death recap says "(some number)" is MIXED damage, that's not all true damage? Almost half of that is still physical.

Spoofghoul1 votes

i do know that

i was not referring to deathrecap though because deathrecap is notoriously wonky

the number showed up above me when she hit me with the attack

MissingKayo1 votes

Link replay? I'll check it at 0.25X speed.

Guy Fox Teemo2 votes

Half her combo is just auto attacks, what combo are we talking about here??? She's a melee fighter like irelia...

MissingKayo15 votes

I don't see how a melee attack that only has 3 seconds to be used and requires a 1.5s delay after landing the first Q is unavoidable.

Oleandervine2 votes

If she misses half of her combo, she can't deal true damage. Her Q-Q2 combo relies on Q to hit for Q2 to deal true damage.

underscores2221 votes

She has a W and E, so missing those two but hitting both Q's would still be hitting half her combo.

Niyumi7 votes

The majority of her damage has a range of 125 (her AA range). She is also all about timings so, if you CC her even once, she loses her true damage auto. If you don't peel her off your squishies, they will likely die.

Just gotta be smart about how you fight her. Mixed damage (Jayce, Jax, etc) destroys her, and anyone kind of tanky with a decent amount of CC and damage (Rene, Darius, Illaoi, Irelia, Pan, etc) makes her miserable.

If it's her shield that bothers you, wait for it to appear, then CC her and step back a bit. When the CC wears off, her shield will be gone, and you can beat her up some more.

ShadowLiberty6 votes

Camille is not OP, people who complain that she's OP simply do not know how to play against her or fight her. There are DOZENS of champions who can beat her one on one and even more who can do it with the team around. RIOT designed her to be unable to fight against a team or other champions who have even a halfway decent amount of cc. If we're going to talk about OP then people should be talking about champions like Fizz, Rengar, LeBlanc, Veigar, etc. People need to stop complaining, otherwise they'll just nerf a good champion into the ground because you guys don't know how to adequately fight her and subsequently complain about it.

Rozair3 votes

People dont understand that she is doing what divers are supposed to do. That doesnt make her OP, or broken. Camille has one of the worst teamfights in the game. She has a kit that allows her to zone and potentially kill people in the back but its very easy for Camille to get caught out alone by herself and die. I get that she can be frustrating because of her range and stuff but this will seriusly teach gold/silver/bronze players how to juke. You can dodge all of her abilities.

coreychichi2 votes

Says the guy with the fucking damn near 80% win rate on her at 26 games. Yeah I bet your gonna try to convince us real hard she isn't busted.

notmebuthim2 votes

Veigar is not op... hate to quote you but you simply do not know how to play against him.

SaladSavior2152 votes

Haha....that was funny.

SteelMankind1 votes

He really isn't. Either pick someone who can burst him from range, like Lux, or pick a mobile melee champ like Diana or Ekko. Zed in particular does very well against him.

ShadowLiberty1 votes

The veigar ult is auto lock once it's clicked... And it's a guaranteed killshot... Tell me how that's not OP. And even aside from that if we say that his ult is okay even if it instakills one person then we need to talk about how literally right after that he can just use his prison. That's too much power and zoning utility for one champion.

bad arcade kitty3 votes

that camille dash is too strong at mid, she easily can jump at you from half a lane into her full crazy combo

i laned vs camille only once, that camille was bad, stayed in lane with almost no hp because caught all the harass and still was hard as heck to deal with, i don't want to imagine laning vs a good one

paisy2 votes

Well Ivern kept getting buffed, don't remember what happened with the other champs

Sona x Rubick1 votes

he received 0 buffs, on release he received buffs that riot said they done it without documented it

Nobody11112 votes

I'm pretty sure he got buffed in patch 6.22 lower cooldown on his rootcaller, the ability to reactivate it to drag himself. Tankier daisy and better AI on daisy.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

Ivern also got huge indirect buffs with the new items and the new jungle+new smite.

Irelia Bot2 votes

Would gladly face Camille over a Illaio or Tahm any day.

She is hardly cancerous compared to many of the champs this game has.

YFisfabulousBRUH2 votes

same. Her E is so fucking telegraphed you can just run away from it and she cant do anything

FourVsFive1 votes

Ultimate that has a cage you can not get out of unless you have a knockback champ is kinda dumb. Maybe they should make a knockback item just for her.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

Or you can just not get in the like 500 range of the ult. Also, her "engage" is extremely telegraphed so if she dives you and you get no peel that is on your team and not her being "OP".

RogueWill1 votes

what about Vi ?

Took them 7 patches of pure bugfixes before she saw a real nerf when she finally became playable and you could finally balance her numbers. 7 patches where she was under powered simply because of how buggy she was.

Also you forget Syndra which had a winrtate lower than playing a 4v5. Playing with a syndra was worse than playing without a mid laner at all xD

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

The only "bug" I've experienced is sometimes double tapping E sometimed won't let you go over walls you definitely can make it over (Krug wall or either pits).

RogueWill1 votes

_V3.14 Assault and Battery Fixed a bug where, if Vi's Banshee's Veil is popped at same moment Vi casts Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery would cause Vi to be locked into her charging animation.

V3.8 Blast Shield Fixed a bug where Blast Shield's cooldown at higher levels was 1 second longer than intended. Vault Breaker Fixed a bug where casting Vault Breaker while targeting an enemy would cause Vi to stop moving.

V3.6 Vault Breaker Fixed a bug that caused Vault Breaker to become uncastable after activation. Excessive Force Can no longer be cast while charging Vault Breaker.

V3.03 Stats Base attack damage reduced to 54 from 58. Vault Breaker Now goes on a 3 second cooldown and refunds 50% of the mana cost when interrupted instead of fully refreshing the cooldown and refunding 100% of the mana cost. Denting Blows.png Denting Blows Damage reduced to 4 / 5.5 / 7 / 8.5 / 10% of target's maximum health from 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10% of target's maximum health.

V3.02 Assault and Battery Fixed a bug where the crowd control component of Assault and Battery was ignoring spell shields.

V3.01 Updated recommended items. Vault Breaker Fixed a bug where Vault Breaker's area of effect was inconsistent at the end area of the dash Fixed a bug where Improved Recall mastery Improved Recall was refunding Vault Breaker's cooldown and mana cost Excessive Force Fixed a bug where Excessive Force could fire multiple times if used on an invulnerable target or while blinded

V1.0.0.154 Vault Breaker Fixed a bug where Vault Breaker would sometimes not refund mana or cooldown when interrupted. Fixed a bug where interrupting Vault Breaker would sometimes render Vi unable to cast spells. Fixed a bug where Vault Breaker's stun duration was sometimes shorter than intended. Fixed a bug where Vi would sometimes stop attacking after hitting a champion with Vault Breaker. Excessive Force: Increased the responsiveness of Vi's attacks after using Excessive Force. Assault and Battery Fixed a bug where targets could cast spells after being knocked into the air. Fixed a bug where characters with stealth could cause Assault and Battery to miss. Fixed a bug where damage was not applied to targets immune to disable effects. _

All the bugs of Vi upon release. She had so many problems built into her Vault Breaker and Assault and Battery that became unnecessarily hard to play. and made her playrate and winrate plummet. After the fixes were fixed she was indeed a tad too strong and was nerfed on the next patch. Which was the 8th by then.

Leetri1 votes

But she's a melee top laner, the boards told me they're completely useless. Just play a ranged champion and you literally win the game every time. That was sarcasm, if it wasn't obvious. She has a really bad win rate and really low play rate, and she's in the bottom 20 for most other stats as well. BUT she's still really new and a more difficult champion to play, so it's too early to say if she needs any buffs. I'm leaning towards that she might need some minor number touch-ups though.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

She simply can't trade against half the current top lane roster because they do mixed damage or have CC making Q2 impossible.

I find way more success in the jungle where I have a "meh" clear, good ganks, and don't have to deal with getting shoved 24/7 and starved up top by almost every other fighter.

Blåbæret1 votes

I think she's too weak early, and all her damage is gated behind her second Q. Her autos deal zero damage.

Jet Sett1 votes

I TOLD people Ivern was gonna be good! They said "if he doesn't land Q he's worthless" but I then reminded them that the main reason Vlad was played in LCS was because he was tanky and because of his ult.

LOL GP weak on release. 6 solid nerfs later and finally balanced. Camille is pretty op, nothing like being trapped in a cage with a broken champion :(

INoble KnightI1 votes

actually GP is kinda bad unless he gets to late game and he has items

SobeDragon1 votes

So When I look at Camille, the problem isn't that she's broken, its that she does wayyyyyyy too much. Double Dash on e, check, attack reset on q, check, second q does true damage, w does a 90% slow, and heals her, and deals percentage HP damage when hit on the outside of its range, R locks a champion down for 4 seconds in an unescapable ring and she does bonus magic damage against that champion. There is so much damage in this kit, she just builds tanky and still deletes adc's. Her skills are tough to land though, and if she falls behind (which is freaking rare due to her super strong early game) she can just play super safe and use her e's for escapes. The range on it is just too damn long. I've done some siiiick e escapes on her already. Just, food for thought.

A 90% slow. My god.. Someone choke whoever thought of that.
