Sivir build path discussion / tips.

So I played some Sivir games in my silver account and in my plat account, and I pretty much keep playing her the same way; farm till I get the 3 core items and proceed from there. Till that point, I mostly try to hard waveclear and rotate around the map, pick as much farm as I can and keep towers safe while trying to push some towers myself. Also, I try to avoid fights that aren't 100% favorable, so that I minimize the risk of losing and setting myself back. Eventually, I keep the game stalled out while powerfarming and reach a state where I'm overly fed compared to enemies even if I don't have kills and it seems to be working fine.

Now, assuming this playstyle, I was generally going for Essence Reaver first, then Infinity Edge, then a Zeal item. I was choosing this build path because as I said, I'm looking to avoid fights and focus solely and pushing waves, which is why I get as much AD / crit as possible early on. But this last game, I came up with the idea: -What if, instead of finishing Essence Reaver first, I instead buy two B.F. Swords and proceed to finishing them as I gather farm?

The logic behind this is that Essence Reaver on its own is kinda bad, and needs other items to ramp up. For 3400, I only gain 70 AD, 20% Crit and 10% CDR, and honestly, all these stats, apart from the AD, are not really important early on. Instead, for 2600 gold, I can buy two BF Swords, which grant 80 AD, and adding a pickaxe to this equation, for 75 more gold compared to ER, I can have 105 AD. This means that waveclear becomes really easy at this point, since that's the AD that Sivir generally needs to start efficiently clearing waves with the 3 AA of the W and 1 Q.

For 3475 gold, I can stall out the game pretty easily, rotate through lanes to defend towers and farm up pretty fast. The mana regen / CDR / crit isn't needed early on since I can just back if I need mana, or I can just avoid fighting for the CDR / crit to be of any value.

Thoughts?

Don't get IE with no attack speed.

item 3508 item 3046 item 3031 in that order unless you for some reason want IE first and er third

As far as double bf you lose too much mana to push as hard as you like. Crit also accounts for your base AD

Even for early fights, flat AD is a lot better. Attack speed isn't that much of a good stat for Sivir anyways, especially early. A nicely placed Q along with a good AA reset of her W is probably enough to secure a fight early anyway. The mana burn isn't that important or big. It's 150 mana on average (4 or 5 points on Q) per wave which means I can probably clear out 3 waves before I need to back + I probably bait out some spell shielding for some mana as well.

I will try this double BF again in some games, I seem to like it a lot.

I disagree heavily. Sivirs best wave clear and aoe damage is from her w. Your w doesn't go on cd until all 3 charges are used; thus more AS also means a lower CD on w. It also gives higher crit chance for the wave clear, move speed, and gives you 're full 30% cdr.

One other thing to note is that you can only clear 3 waves and then you have to back. This means you aren't really doing anything with the wave pressure

Well, I'm talking more about the first stage where I get enough AD so that one Q and W are enough (sometimes more than enough if minions haven't leveled up yet). 2 BFs seem to be working fine. Sure, the ER into a Zeal item, or even just the Zeal, is probably better, at least it feels much smoother.

Well, I was generally playing Sivir the way you mentioned. ER or IE first, depending on the situation into Phantom Dancer mostly, or Shiv if I needed the emergency waveclear. Even though it was ok, I recently tried the heavy AD and it feels even better to waveclear and stall. Guess it also depends on the play style, maybe you want a more aggressive Sivir.

I usually go BF -> phantom dancer -> ER -> deaths dance -> situational items

But when I play against a sona/soraka/nami then I aim for Executioners + cull on the first back then just farm until the rest of my items

I play the same way as you suggested which is just farming as much as you can and pushing as safe as you can and avoiding fights until you have your items

IE is essential to have though, otherwise you don't crit as reliably and your crit damage isn't as high. IE + ER + Zeal item are as core as it gets. I love death's dance too, I get it if I need the lifesteal. The extra 10% CDR caps me to 40% too.
