Are you ever going to do something about this whole reliance on teammates thing?
Seriously, it's fucking annoying. You gonna do something about it? Can you just let us know so we know if it's worth waiting for you to make the right choice?

...they just increase solo-carry capabilities with the recent bounty and tower gold changes. So yes, they did do something about that.
Ultimately, however, League of Legends is a TEAM GAME, and a tactical/strategic game vs. one where a single player can take on 4-5 players at once through superior accuracy and/or reflexes. As such, you will always have to rely on your team to win.
There's always singleplayer games ya know
LMAO
I like how everyone here has 0 votes ….imma downvote myself.
But ya, balancing the game to make it possible for one person to carry means making the game into a 1 shot 1 kill meme....cause otherwise it takes too long to kill one person and move onto the next without massive aoe which tends to make the caster vulnerable

this type of game in general isn't designed for one person to carry , especially if they arnt a damage dealer...only specific champions that can literally 1v5 can truly carry but normally those are reliant on the enemy being bad.
This is why splitpushing like
or
or
are a thing because they just want to win the objective race..only problem is they can only be in one place at a time and they cant stop their team from inting and giving free towers.
this is why
is being picked up and abused so quickly, avoiding confrontation means avoid having to overpower the enemy.

Who said anything about making it a one person carry?
Any other solution would involve reliance on teammates, which is something you were looking to get around.
You're basically asking "How can I play a Team Game without the adverse effects that Teammates can bring?" - which is answered by "you can't"

You're thinking about this as one solution or the other with no middle ground. It's a spectrum, there's ways to involve both.

And can you give some examples of to how do such a thing? This is ultimately a TEAM game, you will have to rely on your teammates at some point regardless of anything. If it reaches the point where you don't have to rely on others then the game literally just became broke at its core

Uh...yeah, you can rely on teammates for some things. Like objectives. But there are times when you can solo it. You can rely on teammates to get kills, but there are times when you can get them on your own.
There are some characters that can take dragon or rift herald on their own. There are some characters with powerful 1v1 fighting style. Right now though, the scale has tipped in favor of relying more and more on your teammates and less on the ones who can do things on their own. Obviously, it's still possible to do certain things solo, but the number of times that occurs has dropped dramatically.

So what you are saying is that pretty much no champion can take an objective or get a kill or anything on their own? Because I'll call BS instantly. Maybe you are playing the wrong champions

No? What are you talking about? I said it dropped, I didn't say it never happens anymore.

"It dropped" are you even playing the same game? Or maybe you want a no gold, severely behind champion with no items to take objectives and kills on their own too
Wow, I don't know why you're acting like this all of a sudden, but I'm going to go ahead and leave it there. I mean, I tried explaining it to you, but the will to understand has to come from you too. What I don't need from you is crass assumptions. Whatever's making you talk like that, think on it.
"Rely on Teammates" and "Don't Rely on Teammates" are opposites that can't co-exist, in the same way that a light switch can't be On and Off at the same time. The closest you can come to a middle ground solution is to change the question. In the example of the light switch, you change the question to "how bright is the light?", which lets you use dimmers or shades to alter it.
So change the question you're asking if you want a gradient answer.
"Rely on Teammates" and "Don't Rely on Teammates" are opposites that can't co-exist
What a load of horse shit.
Then tell me what lies in the middle.

Read the post exactly above that one then. I'm not going to repeat myself when it's right there.

A mix of both? Are you ignoring what I'm saying or something?
No, I'm not ignoring you, I just don't understand what mix of both looks like. This is the fourth post in a row where I've asked for you to explain your idea, and you instead dodge discussion.
If you're interested in talking about ideas then give us an idea of how this would work.

Ok, fine. I mean I mentioned it before, but whatever. I guess some people need to hear it twice or something.
What I want is not one or the other. That's stupid. If I wanted a game heavily team oriented, I'd play Overwatch or HotS. If I wanted a game entirely around individual skill, I'd play CoD or Starcraft. League is a mix of both. Sometimes you need to rely on your team. Sometimes you need to know what you're doing so you can perform well.
You need to know, for example, how to ward and/or how to avoid the enemy jungler when you're in lane. This is an individual skill. Your team has very little bearing on this. So is getting solo kills during the laning phase. On the other hand, your team usually has to be present for you to take objectives, which is a team oriented aspect of the game, although sometimes you can take them by yourself, however rare that might be. Ever since runes reforged was introduced, the game has tipped in favor of the team aspects of the game. It's more important to get a teammates that can pull their own weight and yet this is an aspect of the game you have very little control over. You can't choose what kind of player you get. So, if the game is so team oriented that it ends up sacrificing too much of individual skill and you have no control over who you get on your team, then you can play better than everyone else and still have it not matter.
What I want is a game that's tipped back so there's more in favor of individual skill. You should be more able to take objectives on your own. You also shouldn't have to rely so much on a teammate's help to get kills. If you are experienced and good enough at the game, that should be able to impact the game more than your ability to randomly get teammates that don't feed.

I think that is something that can be balanced towards to some degree. It's hard though, because if you take steps to prevent players from being too big of a detriment to their own team then you end up mitigating the advantages the other team created. Catch Up XP is cited as a case where the mechanic went too far, not letting Junglers get punished enough.
I think the individual skill of a jungler to plan a gank be able to beat the individual skill of a laner to anticipate them.
...... Its a 5v5 game. Why would you ever think not relying on your team would be a good or positive change?
