It is weaker than any other turret and it gives a crazy amount of gold. For reference whichever team gets first tower has something like 70% winrate, just from that. The bigger problem is that it just isn't fun, there also isn't any counter to the current strat of 4-5 man bot gank into first turret because if you try and back off you lose bot turret for nothing, if you try to stay you get dived and easily killed because turrets are very weak at this point.
I dont think most people know why it was changed in the first place and dont realize that it is equally weak for both teams.

its not only that the tower is too weak, its the people who lose the tower then proceed to play like utter shit because they are damaged psychologically from supposedly 'losing lane' because of that tower.
the complain obviously comes from adc/support mains, all we want is to farm as it has been imposed since the beta times but here we are, the outcome of your bot lane depends on how fast and constant the jungler decides to gank bot, if they neglect your lane you are in for a treat but again, it is not the jungler's job to babysit you, so you're borked either way.
