Riot can you admit that Rework Swain is stupid weak and needs buffs then DO IT

Swain is second to last win rate top lane and third to last in MId lane

46% win rate......

Its because his Kit counters itself.

You need the enemy to be in your face to do any damage AND you need lots of AP but that means you die because you need HP and Def to be in someones face....

I feel like his laning phase when laning against a melee isn't so bad. But in mid lategame it feels like he doesn't do shit. Or maybe i'm just bad or not used at dodging his spells, his E's hitbox feels bigger than it's visual effect, i kept getting hit by it despite that i thought that i stood aside. At the very least they should increase the VFX to add clarity to it's hitbox.

But yeah, he doesn't do shit unless he hits E.

New champs typically have low win rates right away, honestly I have a 100% win rate in ranked (although only over 2 games) and he seems fine actually. His q hurts, the biggest issue I find with him is only his shards. I feel like they are very difficult to get realistically, because if you catch somebody your whole teams gonna dive and ur gonna start with 2 shards and a worthless ult.

EDIT: maybe add his ults explosion range slightly bigger with a red ring to indicate to both teams.

Start the game with a item 2033. Then you go item 3027 item 3151 item 3116 item 3065 item 3157 AP and survivalbility all in one. Boots is optional, but I prefer more defensive boots like merc or tabi rather than the one with magic penetration, I also tend to NOT complete boots early (as in, leaving it as boot tier 1) because Swain is all about making the enemies come at you so there is no rush for higher MS.

Use Sorcery+Domination. For Sorcery do: Comet+ManaflowBand+Transcendence+either Scorch or GatheringStorm (I prefer Scorch because I start the game with Corrupting Potion). Domination you do: CheapShot+Ravenous Hunter.

Use E to poke opponent in lane, Q to farm unless you land a E which in the case you quickly do a pull->Q and go back to farming (that's where the Comet comes in, because it will land on the enemy's head most of the time given your E); use W to scout for potential ganks coming at you, though you can also use it on your lane opponent to help building your fragment stacks beyond just gaining it from pulls but it's a bit tricky to land (may be easier if you land E first). By repeating this you can bully most opponents out of lane. You don't really try to finish opponent before 6, unless a teammate is doing a gank for you or if the opponent is really suicidal, otherwise your aim is generally to bully them enough and when you get 6, you try a pull, if you do get it then use ulti to finish them off, preferably if there's minions for you to leech off.

Remember, your E is incredibly powerful as a continuous poke and zoning that can also be used to help you sustain in lane. Learn how to land it effectively and use it to bully your opponents. You can also move after throwing E out and the it will come back to you all the same, so you can do a "V" shape pull by walking sideways after tossing E, and it should catch most players.

Also unlike old Swain, you can still use normal spells during ulti, so remember to use your normal spells and not just walking around waiting for the charging blast. You also want to activate your R almost at the start of a fight, don't drag it out and wait for the last second.

Oh and, your pull works on all immobilisation from all ally sources, it doesn't have to be from your E. So keeps your eyes out.

you could use spells during ult as old swain. just the Cooldown was so long you hoped you did not die before second rotation.

Really?

Always thought old Swain just toggle ulti and walk around, given that's how I remember him (I didn't play him at all, that's from me seeing him played; and he was so rarely played that's probably where I got the wrong memory. Or maybe it is a common mistake for players of both new and old Swain seeing I kinda do have to remind myself to use spells during ulti on new Swain too but maybe it's just me).

But aye, thanks for the correction.

his cooldowns for QWE was based around 10+ seconds. He also rarely built max CDR too. So what he did was shoot his spells out, and then hit R and walk around. Kinda like Alistar. So very easy to think when he ulted he did nothing but walked around. Also due to age, spells where very unclear during team fight.

I understand where you are comeing from, however due to swain's extreme lack of range, It could be much much worst. If mid was nothing but Ziggs, Lux, Azir, and Xarth, I expect to see his win rate below 40%. If i am right, then the right meta could also see him as a monster. So better to wait for the honeymoon period to disappear and see what his ups and downs are before we demand a buff. I doubt he is going to be like ornn, or ivern level of weak then buff in to monsters, however I was never one for Buffs without a few months of data.

New champ has low winrates because nobody’s used to playing him, idiots demand buffs.

Gee, never seen that one before.

Honeymoon phase is over its been over 2 weeks. The issue are that his kit is counter to how you need to play him.

LyingOnLine1 votes

Oh man, you actually think two weeks is enough for people to really have gotten used to playing him.

That’s just so gosh-darned precious.
