jungle went from difficult to walk in the park

Trail blazer and cinderhulk are the main culprits. But trailblazer in particular. The addition to stack on smite is practically like when it had reduced smite cool down.

You could give it spirit elder passive instead: Against monsters, restore 6% of damage dealt as health and 3% as mana. And maybe just 10% extra damage. Or spells and auto deal +10 DMG to jungle. Tbh idk what the solution would be just trying to find answers. Also its ability to clear minion waves makes it very hard to create lane pressure. All the jungler has to do is walk to a lane smite and return to battle. And is really strong at denying enemy of cs (unfreezing a lane etc) after a successful gank. It doesn't reward players for being good at last hitting or making efficient use of spells/autos etc to clear.

It just has so much going for it. Even small things like stunning the scuttle makes it all the more alluring.

It certainly is easier to play competently than it used to be, but honestly I don't think that's a bad thing. A: I don't have people saying they straight up CAN'T play jungle and that they'll dodge or do abysmally if they have to play it as much anymore. B: there's still plenty to separate a pick up jungler from a jungle main, A Shaco that takes neither trail blazers or cinderhulk and knows how to avoid ward spots when ganking will still be preferable to some guy who happens to have Amumu and Warwick because they're cheap and wanders the jungle hoping that places aren't warded with trailblazer and/or cinderhulk.

Jungle is now like the other 4 rolls, non-ADC players may not know the best trading and positioning tactics when ADCing, non-supports may not know the best warding and sweeper locations, may not know to roam mid if they're healthy and the ADC B'ed while supporting, etc. but they're able to do SOMETHING.

Surviving jungle is one thing. Clearing it insanely fast is another. You can make it so trailblazer is still as easy or easier for junglers to survive it (just not so much clearing). In fact if surviving jungle is your issue just play tank jungle. A tank jungler with just cinderhulk should be able to clear fine no matter if your new to jungle. And there are so many tank junglers with insane aoe clearing spells, maokai, amumu, nunu, graga, nautilus can all clear fast with next to no difficulty surviving it.

Taking Trailblazer means you are not buying amazing duelling power or a ranged nuke-and-slow, both of which are much, much more useful for actual combat situations and ganks than the Trailblazer.

I'd always buy Skirmisher's or Stalker's over Trailblazer's if possible. Trailblazer is the last resort of junglers who have bad waveclear and/or really need the sustain.
