Shut the fuck up forever about ADCs being "worse than useless"

Nearly every game that I have played where people try to do anything that isn't a non-ADC in the ADC role, they end up performing many times worse than they would if they picked a normal ADC and played the game like normal. The punchline is that they are almost always up against an actual ADC, and almost always against one of the ones they try to claim is "below trash-tier".

I think it's high time you admit that you know jack shit about this game and prefer to only follow trends, memes and whatever deluded, pessimistic dumbass thing some fuckwit personality on Youtube or Twitch claims.

I see the quite opposite. Mages can poke alot better than adc's can, and will almost always win botlane by poking alone.

People claim that, but whenever the ADC decides to pick Brand or Heimer, in my experience, they always get thrashed pretty quickly.

I've seen a trend here similar to Vayne mains. They think they already have that late game superpower that a max build Brand has, for example, so they play like that, making very terrible moves to try and get that early pentakill that will never happen.

Hei can't poke as good as other mages. He relies on the enemies walking towards him.

Pokers like Lux, Viktor and Orianna are better

There are certainly some "traditional" ADCs that are doing well. By that I mean Kaisa, and she's not really that traditional. If you look at the ADCs that do well now, they include Miss Fortune and Jhin, who can use and abuse Stormrazor to the max, in conjunction with powerful lethality builds. This, combined with the weak turrets in the game, and the recent Baron nerf, create a game that is centered around snowballing as a team early to mid game, and pushing/ending before late game champions (not limited to ADCs, this includes champions such as Riven), can reach their full spike.

I have a mighty big issue with the crit creep in this game, and the latest patch has greatly exacerbated the problem, essentially leading to an alpha striking issue with a lot of different champions that already had alpha striking as their primary mechanic (read: Assassins) and already had items that functioned similar to Stormrazor that weren't so grossly imbalanced (Statikk Shiv, Rapid Fire Cannon, Dead Man's Plate). If a champion needs to have those items that stack the deck that hard in their favor, then there is something wrong with the champion.

The thing is, this didn't make ADCs useless, especially when the patch was so hamfistedly geared towards buffing them in all the wrong ways. I have written a few times in the past how critical chance hurts the game's balance and especially hurt one of the core concepts of League, which is adaptation. ADCs already suffer from having exceptionally binary builds that focus heavily on maximizing crit chance (depending on the ADC, and usually if they are BAD [Basic Attack Dependent]), but the solution was NOT to alter Infinity Edge, as that only contributes to the crit creep and allows Yasuo to max out his crit chance with only two items. ADCs are effectively disincentivized from building in direct response to their opponents; while the options for anti-maging are already out there, how many ADCs do YOU see building the Maw or Scimitar or getting Mercury Treads?

Maw is such a bad item in general that it's never going to be built, and I see scimitar built all the time now, especially on ASSASSINS, who can effectively utilize the MR and live long enough to burst and get out.

They made ADCs so weak in the early game that they aren't worth playing, waiting for the late game.

I already made a post discussing what steps should maybe be taken to adjust this power imbalance, and it doesn't involve directly buffing ADCs in any way.
