There's no such thing as "being fed" when everyone is full build.

PhDs Nuts··139 votes·7,036 views

Any gold lead literally becomes meaningless when everyone is at max items. You can't keep blaming how fed the enemy X is, or conversely be upset at how much damage someone with a poor KDA does, when both teams are equally strong. Nobody is "ahead" or "behind" anymore.

Note: This also applies to champions who got a few kills in the early game but haven't shopped yet.

Well, this isn't technically true. Nasus ,Veigar ,Sion ,Thresh . All of these guys have infinite stacking and well, being fed early game just helps them stack more late game (and I wouldn't be surprised if Veigar has over 1.5K AP)

Golden Tager X57 votes

Bard feels neglected, since you didn't remember him on the infinite scalers.

iamthegoatofwar35 votes

Kindred too.

morris14 votes

Kindred's effect requires you kill a huge amount of champions for it to be as observable as the others, it's realistically unachievable.

you can sort of remove sion from that list the 200 extra hp wont do that much

Edit ok people obviously didn't really get what i meant so

{quoted} being fed early game just helps them stack more late game

Meaning if you get fed you get like maybe 200 stacks more then usual that is, if you use your advantage to farm rather then snowball your team, which you should, cos tanks fall of hard, and Sion is no exception. So the small amount of extra health come very lategame will hardly be noticeable anyway

2k ap veigar or 1000 stacks nasus now thats noticeable

1k bonus health Sion, still dies faster then 90% of the other tanks in league hence why i don't really consider him an ''infinite'' scaling tank

The only he reason you can stay alive longer then some other tanks is due to your zoning but in a straight up damage soaking contest he will lose to almost every single tank even with 1000 bonus health

Giga Kahuna20 votes

you'd have to be a terrible sion to only have 200 bonus health when everybody is a full build

i generally get around 600 - 700 bonus health by the time the match ends as sion, which is almost as much as warmogs

hell i've even gotten to 1k bonus health as him

I mean, you get 200 HP by just killing 100 creep, not even counting champ kills and large enemies killed. This can be achieved in a 20 minute game. In a 50-60 minute game, when you have over 300 CS and several champ kills/large or epic monsters killed, you will have about an entire item's worth of HP.

LordKentravyon4 votes

He might be taking into consideration that to conpensate for his stacking, sion has a lower base hp and hp scaling than other tanks, the first 200-300ish ho you get is texhnically catchup to the average tanks, than you start getting gains.

LordGeovanni1 votes

1000 hp is enough to get item 3748 sell one of your hp items and get item 3124 run into the enemy kill 2 of them before you die then kill the rest after you die. another 500 anditem 3046 becomes viable for its straight ignorance of damage

LïfêšÅBädDrêàm1 votes

Whats Sions infinite scale?

JVP152 votes

After Sion gets his W, any minion or small monster he kills grants him 2 extra HP. Every Champion kill or assist, epic monster kill or assist (I think assists count) and Large Monster kills (I think) grant him 10 extra HP. It is permanent, btw.

I played Veigar in bot my last 2 times with him and hit 1700 and 2.2k ap respectively. One shotting people is fun :>

A champion getting fed early can greatly influence the game even when people have reached full builds.

If they were fed early, they were strong enough to influence the map and take objectives. Dragon control would provide a significant amount of strength in the late-game (especially Ocean and Infernal) which couldn't be made up for with items.

In addition, they will likely have a positional advantage by that point (i.e. towers, inhibitors exposed) which offers them more freedom throughout the map.

Everyone reaching their full-build will narrow the difference in strength, but that doesn't mean that the effects of feeding an opponent aren't still noticeable.

The Yetii Rider10 votes

Being fed still applies to kills in the early game when you haven't bought yet. You might not have an item lead, but you have an XP lead, and that can be even more relevant, particularly in mid lane.

333lom1 votes

Could you clarify that xp difference being most noticeable in mid lane? Is it not that drastic on top lane? Or in other roles? I main mid lane, but still haven't noticed that it's more drastic there than in other lanes. What am I missing?

Enloct3 votes

That mid laner's damage is proportionately skewed towards abilities, which scale more with level than items. A level 1 6 item AD carry, for instance, is far closer in power to a level 18 6 item AD carry than a mid laner would be.

333lom2 votes

Thank you, it makes sense. I haven't noticed that detail earlier! And mid relies much more on abilities than on basic attacks. And another guy also added that minion waves get faser to mid, meaning faster xp, and subsequently faster ability level gain.

Champions that are played mid are played there because they hit level ups faster (because the waves arrive sooner).

Mid laners are typically champions that want to hit six as quickly as possible, get some sick roams in, and more importantly get incredible damage from their level ups.

Both mages and assassins have very high base damage on their abilities. The base damage is solely based on how much XP you have, whether you go back to buy is irrelevant.

333lom1 votes

True, true. And abilities for mages and assassins grant a hell of a lot both in damage and utility to them compared to when they have to rely almost only on basic attacks early in the game.

dunkeroni6 votes

A fed Veigar Nasus Kindred Bard is still important at full build.

DunkinNoobs5 votes

If the game goes past 45 minutes, you don't get to automatically point fingers at feeders anymore. You didn't lose that game at 55 minutes because your top laner fed.

Noblewind4 votes

DRAGONS??

If you've given up 2/3rds of the map all game and the enemy has 2 Infernal and 2 Mountain Drakes, full build does not make you equal to them.

Earl Eulrich3 votes

the most ridiculous thing is people complaing about s.o. being fed in Ascension where everyone has the exact same gold at every second...

Mira Arya Enthe3 votes

The person who was fed still had more map presence throughout the game. And you feeding them still slanted the objective control and game situation towards your defeat.

He was complaining that you fed the enemy team, which allowed them to reach full build before the game could end. Understand?

Reading comprehension. Everyone is full build. The game isn't over. His complaints no longer matter. Nobody is fed anymore, because you survived the game while someone was fed. Hurray! Also, you don't have to feed a champion yourself to get them fed. CS matters.

disregardable1 votes

Apparently you don't.

  1. Fed as a verb, used interchangeably with you died a lot; he's saying you caused our current situation.
  2. Fed as in comparison to how much gold they had a few minutes ago.

"Feeding the enemy team" and "Being fed" are different. "Being fed" = "Being stronger than the enemy". You can be fed in more ways than one.

If you're 100 cs up with an even KDA, you're fed, because you have more items than they do. The same applies to kills. The only thing that matters for how strong you are in relation to the enemy team is items and levels (not including baron/dragon). Your KDA doesn't mean anything if you don't have more items than they do. Your CS doesn't mean anything if you don't have more items than they do.

Know when that doesn't matter anymore? When everyone is full build.

disregardable2 votes

Wow, it's almost like things change over the course of a game, and we use language to describe that. :O

You could never be more fed than 10 minutes ago, or fed now when they were not, that's insane!

Edit: the amount of upvotes this guy got is astounding. I can't imagine what logic you guys are using that lets you completely ignore how human language works. normally you guys are only stupid like this on matters of opinion, not matters of facts.

When everyone is full build, no, you couldn't be. Did you unlock a magical 7th item slot for being fed in the early game?

What about early dragons? If both teams are full build but one team has 3 infernal drakes and 2 mountain drakes they still will have an edge, no?

Not to mention turrets taken and inhibs taken.

Because someone was feeding in the early game, this allowed the other team to get more dragons and thus have the advantage. Maybe this is what he meant.

Shadòw2 votes

Note: This also applies to champions who got a few kills in the early game but haven't shopped yet.

Kills usually also mean more tower gold (when the kills were used right) and more exp on that champion so he most likely still does more Damage so this isn't really true.

Adriqnohee4 votes

He is talking about when everyone is level 18 and even the supports have 6 items, in that case he is right, gold lead is meaningless and the only thing that matter is who has the most objectives, because everyone will be on the same terms when it comes to power.

Shadòw1 votes

that's his main point, his note is based on the early game

Note: This also applies to champions who got a few kills in the early game but haven't shopped yet.

333lom1 votes

Well, if an enemy got a kill and took down a turret (but is still the same level as the opponent, hypothetically), but didn't yet spend that gold on items to gain better stats, then that means he's the same strength as before. I believe that's what he meant.

Timewinder3 votes

Yes but his XP is higher than that of the other champions which means he has a level advantage.

333lom1 votes

Doesn't ability damage scale only with levels, and not continually with xp increase?

Oh, are you referring to ad on basic attacks? It scales continually with xp increase? If that's the case, you're right! I didn't think of that, I mainly play mages so I didn't notice that.

Skins Project1 votes

UNTRUE!!!!!!!!!!!! Vayne, Kogmaw, Veigar, Nasus, ETC late games vs some early game people.. (I'm neutral on the topic) I'm just pointing out it depends on champions, not just full build.
