Why you stick to what your good at in ranked

I play two roles in ranked and I can perform well in both of the roles and I play the champs that I do well with. But why is do I have the guy whos top three champs our an adc, tank and mid laner and they are playing the jg with amumu. Granted amumu isn't that hard of a jgler but if your 0/10/10 and in your match history your last game of amumu was the one you just played don't play that champion.

I don't understand why people choose champions that they don't play often enough to do average with but instead choose a champion out of the thin air like that. The way I see it sometimes is just like oh man I cant wait to play Quinn I'm great at a ranged champion but then its banned and they go I can play this Yorick oh yeah I'm gonna wreck top lane.

Nothing makes me laugh harder though than the jg main who ends up in bot lane and doesn't even play adcs.

I mean if im playing a role im not the best at its probably because im on a hot streak with that role/a champion at that role in normals. I cant really think of another reason for doing it,

norms elo and ranked elo 2 different thing u may be doing well against bronze players in norms then when u go to ranked u feed cuz u dont know ur champ that well
