Honestly, did anyone actually not see this coming?
This guy basically dips in the gameplay niches of several other ADCs. Granted, he can't do all these things at the same time, but with some little preparation, he can have the right tools at the right time.
Why would you pick prime team fighting ADCs anymore if you can simply pick Aphelios and have the same capacity for team fights, while also having alot of other tools at your disposal?
Yeah, ok, but I will rather believe 200+ years of collective gameplay design experience!

I don't blame him, though (he should have been moved to another team, iirc). I blame who manages the company and allows proved incompetent people to keep failing that hard. At this point, it's intentional ($kin$).
This champion just outright needs removing and completely remade.
I knew Aphelios was beyond stupid because I tried him. ONCE. I had zero clue what I was doing since I didn't look into the character's abilities beforehand. I won lane so hard it wasn't even funny because I kept expecting the hammer to come down hard on me but it never did. My very first back to base bought me an Infinity Edge and Beserker Boots. I didn't even DIE until 28 minutes in because I was a dumb-dumb trying to split while the enemy team was having a Mexican Standoff in mid and I didn't notice Rengar disappeared off the mini map and he got me via bush by bot side enemy Krugs.
Even then, we won so easily with me going 17/2/5, my second death going 4 for 1, which has never happened outside of me being a 6 item Olaf two seasons ago. If a goddamn DUMBASS like me can barely think about first-timing a champ so convoluted in their kit and win this hard, I am legitimately concerned what actual skilled players can pull off.

Luckily the issues that korean challengers have are not the same issues that 99% of the playerbase have to deal with.
Even in Masters+ tier NA Aphelios hovers at around 48% so....
