I'm 20. My first 18 years of life were stuck being held up inside of a small room, unable to leave, or my mother would call the cops on me to force me back inside against my will. Probably because I was autistic. When I hit 18, my Grandfather had offered to let me stay with them and go to the college here, after I got my G.E.D. I did so in two days flat. I was granted scholarships & grants right out of the gate, in part due to my I.Q score (167) and how quickly I had acquired my G.E.D with no formal schooling of any kind.
I have had the misfortune of seeing exactly what you're describing despite being part of that younger generation. The thing is, though, I often see people like you making a similar mistake: you blame us. You don't blame the predatory companies that design things explicitly so that they appeal to the younger generation (LoL and how it has changed is a wonderful example of that) and you don't stop to think about what you could have done better to help us all out, nor what you could have taught us to help prevent this -- you lay the blame at our feet & are done with it. You call the kettle black.
Truth is, if you believe in psychology then you should understand that Riot, other corporations, other companies, etc. have people in their ranks dedicated entirely to analysis of the human psychology & how best they can abuse it. Those people target you just as much as they target any of us 'young'uns', but they do it in a different way: they rely on the divide created because people can't accept that some things are human nature and that it's up to everyone - not just one single individual - to surpass those human flaws. It's an issue with physiology, and how humans came to exist through centuries of tooth & nail survival.
The default state of all humans... is ignorance. Why do you hold it against them?
167? That's interesting. You're 7 points above the man who came up with general relativity .
Mine would be 115 , but I dont really believe in IQ. I dont think something as complex as a human brain and conciousness itself could be represented by a single number . From what I've read scientists dont exactly understand conciousness either .
Then again einstein did just that, quantified the nature of energy and mass with his famous e=mc^2 equation . So what the fuckk do I know . Sometimes I have bright moments and half the time I'm a complete idiot .
It would be genuinely interesting to read a reply from a genius. Always been fascinated with such topics and have a copy of relativity at home , though I cant understand his maths past calculus .
