so can we talk about swain for a sec

specifically the main reason hes pretty bad rn, hes just trying to be too many things at once and just ends up not having a role, sure he can go top mid or adc back can anyone actually tell me his main role? not reaslly because he doesnt exactly have one, not enough dps to go top and too easily countered by mr, not enough range or burst to go mid and again not really enough dps now to keep up with other bot laners.

my main issue though is his ult imo basically his ult is supposed to be a mix of dmg and sustain but the trade-off is its honestly not very good at either, the healing isnt enough to be a good sustain spell in fights especially with ignites being super common and morello being a core item on most ap users. his ult needs to either be tuned toward dmg or sustain because being meh at both just isnt working for him at all

in short with swain they tried too hard to keep old swain with his ult but took away the kit type that supported swain to begin with and it left him in a really janky spot

EDIT thanks to a commenter i did remember my other point, hes so mana hungry he needs to get early mana which isnt an issue for most as or j just gets rid of mana issues on most ap champs but swain has so little burst power and ratios that he cant afford not to build hp early on not to pop forcing him into build unfavorable items like and it ends up gimping him farther
