As an AP tiamat tank top main, I'd like to say that season six will completely ruin the game and my main.

For one, they added a bunch of crit options to the main ad items I buy on Soraka top. However, soraka doesn't scale well with crit so these are pretty much useless.

Let's not even mention the fact that everyone now has grievous wounds now. Soraka now only has HALF the heal she normally does. While healing is not a core part of my build (because I build tiamat for sustained damage), it is still a heavy nerf.

btw before anyone says tiamat sucks on utility supports, Iet me cite the fact that tiamat on morgana has a 100% winrate in lcs

I don't make fun of people's ranks but it is a valid point to bring up to establish credibility when discussing game mechanics. I have been in a game with a top lane soraka, and our team lost hard. I strongly oppose anti-meta play in ranked, because the meta exists for a reason - it is a collective understanding of the most optimal way to win games. Also me bringing up someone's rank somewhat pales compared to the Axxlon comment above which was not relevant to anything other than just to be intentionally offensive.

Meanwhile, Zhonya's, which is crucial to my build, got heavily nerfed with it's ap reduction. There is literally no reason to get it in my build anymore, despite the devastating soraka flash ult zhonya combo. -despite the devastating Soraka flash ult Zhonya Combo. Soraka. Flash. Ult. And then Zhonyas. Definitely serious.

both of my comments you quoted were in response to people who refused to engage in meaningful dialogue. Context is important.

If you make a deeply personal insult, then sure I'm going to bring up rank to back up my position. It's called logic in response to an attempt to draw an emotional response.

and if you post some image implying I failed to discern the alleged sarcastic nature of the OP, I'm going to bring up their match history and previous highly suboptimal builds to defend the fact that there is no reasonable way for someone who has looked at the OP's ranked match history to know that a joke was being made.

It's not about being a "nazi" it's about there being a proper way to play this game, and me responding to a proposed troll build posted in a public forum, and the people who are insulting me in such personal and toxic ways are the people I am trying to help. Basically, until you master standard build paths, don't go trying to wreck the meta because it will continue to result in lost games and irritated allies.

Yeah but my allies love me because I play to win, every game. I do what I can to improve at my role, I never troll build, I never troll in game, I don't do things like buy sightstone and never ward.

If you don't want to play such a performance heavy game in which there are four other real people relying on you to help make their game experience positive, there are alternatives.

You sound like a very nerdy try-hard who can't just get a single break of fun in any League matches. Plus, it was a rank team match, so he was pairing with people of whom they were aware of what the other was building.

True DMP is kind of a bad item for Veigar, but a little bit of movement speed & armor for the little immobile dude doesn't hurt anyone, especially since he has to go up against a double enemy AD champion compo.

Tenacity on Moonflair won't really help a lot if Veigar were to get caught out tons of time, since Renekton & Shaco were an all-in divers.

....what's Athene for when enemy has 2 AD champions? Morello is more than enough for Mana sustain.

Liandry could be a better pick doe, but most likely Veigar was in a bind to have time for that item when he needed his own self-defence against them.

Actually, I'm not even sure why you have to counter-argue a lot on a joking thread, til the point you HAD to bring everyone's ranks up. It's like as if you blamed the person's fault because of their different race. Lol, don't tell me you even believed the "100% Tiamat Morg in LCS" statement. That's just plain gullible.

if you look at that stats of that match,

Veigar took 10.6k physical damage and 9.6k magic damage.

Shaco dealt 17.8k physical damage, 14.4k magic damage

Tahm Kench dealt 4.3k physical damage, 20.8k magic damage

Renekton dealt 22.7k physical damage, 9.5k magic damage

Additionally,

Tahm had an Abyssal
Shaco had Last Whisper, counterpoint he also had the Warrior enchantment
Renekton had Black Cleaver
Veigar already had armor with the Wooglet's

Clearly, more magic resist was quite warranted, particularly to help counter the very real cc of Shaco passive E autoattacks and active E effect, in addition to the empowered Tahm Q. Veigar could have used his cage as an escape with that extra 35% of time being unhindered by crippling slows and then comboed off the resulting stun.

Moonflair would have given mr, more armor, ap, and tenacity. It would have been the perfect item to build in response to that comp.

I just feel like throwing this out here in response to more or less all of the things you said on this thread. First off your an asshole. Before you say anything about me personally insulting you let me make myself very clear; I meant that to be a personal insult! I am an asshole too. I know that and accept it and I'm not sorry. Accept it and get over it. Second, I'm Plat 2 and I'm stupid and suck at this game. There are bronze players that are better at pushing buttons than I am. There might even be bronze players that are better at general game theory and consistency than me (although I doubt that because I feel that's what moves you up in ranked more than just being good at pushing buttons) So rank matters and it doesn't; regardless of rank we are all still players playing the same game. I have no problem offering advice to anyone but I would never claim to know the game well enough to tell them how to play the game. And I would never use my rank nor their rank in my initial argument. If I start a conversation telling them how to play the game and immediately follow that up with calling out their rank the only thing they are going to take away from that is that I'm an asshole. They no longer care about being better at the game because I've made an ass of myself. You could have said in your original post:

"For the record everyone Soraka is a ranged champion and Tiamat is a melee only item so I might think twice about building it."

Short, sweet, to the point. You've clearly stated your position, explained why and haven't offended anyone. I'd expect a "whoosh" joke after posting that but that wouldn't stop me from posting it if I actually felt like I needed to make that clear. You could always preemptively point out that you purposely missed the joke to provide real information to newer players just so the more experienced players know your not just being stupid. You could always be a little trolly yourself even:

"So I've played a fair amount of Soraka and I after my first couple hundred games I happened to notice that Soraka is a ranged champion! Mind = Blown I guess it's time to stop building the melee only Tiamat on her... Q.Q"

Now personally I would never post something as stupid as that but your certainly not dooming yourself to down votes and flame (prolly still gunna get "whooshed") and your still getting your point across. Now if you make a post like one of these and somebody tries to argue with you for some reason I'd suggest making sure they understand your reasoning as to why something is a good or bad idea and then simply pointing out that you're a high plat player as a way to give your reasoning a credible source. I would never use their rank because it often makes them feel called out and defensive. The idea is to try not to sound like "This is the way the world is because your low rank or I'm high rank." Instead sounding like "The world is this way because good argument (numbers, logic, reasoning, melee only item on ranged champion) and if your not sure I can be trusted for good advice I happen to be high plat." It's not perfect and people are stupid but presentation is a skill and is very effective when used right. Gosh that got long... XD Sorry if I missed something. Good luck and have fun on the rift man. its passive is certainly melee only but its active can be used by anyone. They teach you that in plat 1 school.

These are things I already know and accept. What is the point? I tend to be an asshole to people that are being assholes.
