@Balance & Design Team Taliyah Observation
I decided to purchase this champion and give her a shot. I love her concept and the 1350 skin you gave her, since it fits what I am doing on my other account. I am very sad to see that there are PROBLEMS with Taliyah. From the looks of it she feels very week, but I don't think she is weak at all. What I feel like is a problem is that most, if not all, of Taliyah's moves are to easy to dodge, doesn't extend enough, or need to clicks to do something. Add the fact that her passive is only usable against walls and out of combat and her ultimate really doesn't supply a lot . . . . . to her already lacking kit . . . . this is a champion that misses the mark.
Passive . . . Her passive is VERY lackluster in my opinion. You want to promote this champion that roams and can use her earth abilities to assist other lanes in battle. Ok Let's add a passive that is only useful against walls and only out of combat. I am only ever using this ability to get back into lane. Let's face it . . . most players use her ULT more than the passive to get to a lane. If the passive had it to where she was walking on earth out of combat for a few seconds . . . . and doesn't need to be against walls, I can see it working. It's only useful against a wall though. In team fights when she really needs to be helping . . . . this passive does NOTHING.
Q . . . on paper sounds like a fantastic ability. What you did is make it so where it only goes in one direction and that makes it VERY predictable and easy to dodge. I mean seriously . . . . this could be a fantastic ability if it didn't go in ONE direction. I mean enemies can move to the right and I have to hurry up and move that way to catch up to them, but I cannot because it is too slow. There is a HUGE disconnect with this ability . . . not being able to hit a single person.
Even if you lessen the amount she shoots out and have it to where it moves in the direction of your mouse . . . . that would be so much better. Now I have to physically move the direction and hope one of the five shots hits her.
W . . . . Probably her worst ability if you ask me. I have to double click it to actually do something. That double click on W can make or break a fight. The time it takes for me to click on ability, another champion is using their Q and their ult to kill me. It would be such a cool ability if you had it to where she knocks someone up in the air instantly, like a Poppy ult, then how it is now. I hardly ever used this ability . . . . the delay and the force double click is not worth it. It also would have been really cool to cast this ability on yourself and push yourself out of danger.
E . . . . Long cooldown . . . . . doesn't do a lot of damage in my opinion . . . . easily dodgeable . . . . . small range to hit enemies . . . . detonates only after it is walked on.
R . . . . I don't see a problem with it . . . .
The only way for me to be able to land my abilities is to buy a Ryali. First I need to buy a Ryali and then I can hit my abilities. To a certain degree champion abilities need to be balanced . . . I get that . . . but this champion has three abilities that really make it hard for her to to damage with the delays, the way they are constructed, and the long cooldowns. Did you not say you don't want champion abilities to revolve around HAVING to buy certain items. Well that is what I feel like you are doing to this champion.
If anyone knows something I don't know or has tips, please let me know.
is so mandatory on Taliyah. You land the 1st one, all of the rest are going to hit them unless they flash. Also you can use this at level 1 to clear the enemy caster back line.
) you'll want to put 3 points into this before you start maxing your Q. It does a deceptive amount of damage and is honestly where most of her power actually resides. Learning to combo this with her W is absolute MUST. You have to know how to quickly and reliably do this combo at all times. A tip - your W will spell lock you until it's animation is finished, so you need to cast E, THEN W.
