sona should be disabled on arams

has anyone seen her not win a game recently?

i feel like when seing her on the enemy team its not even worth trying. and since everyone and his mother is running aram accounts these days she is almost in every game.

champions like teemo are disabled in other fun modes like urf for the same reasons.

Teemo has never been disabled in urf. He had a hard cap on his placed mushrooms in urf 2014, and every year after that has balanced the more dificult champions instead of banning them.

TBH there are way more annoying champions in aram than sona. Have you seen anivia, aurelion or ziggs?

might have been wrong about that one specific. but they have disabled certain champions in rotating gamemodes because they would be cancer to fight there.

well... so is sona on aram.

looks like i wasnt wrong. going by lolking statistics, her winrate is almost 70% on the howling abyss.

and wait for it... almost 18% playrate.

now someone explain to me please how a champion can have the playrate of a top pick on summoners rift, when the picks in that mode are actually anywhere near random.

i know people can reroll and trade, and theyre less likely to reroll an overpowered champion, but almost 18%. holy fuck.

You have to know how to deal with her. You're not always going to roll a team that can easily put her down but Sona suffers from the same weaknesses she always has. Get in close and hammer on her. She's only got a couple of options before she has nothing left but autos to defend herself.

The problem is people don't know how to bait her out plus coordination with strangers on aram is a literal crapshoot. The point is yes she can be beat.

70% winrate and almost 18% playrate. i dont think thats an issue of individual skill anymore. especially considering sona doesnt take much skill to play either.

I'm aware. Sona main since season 3 who's also played around 2k aram games. Had plenty of experience on this topic from both directions.

Any healer on aram is going to make life difficult. Soraka in aram with four team members who can handle their champions well is still far scarier.

Sona has always done well on aram. They just made it easier for those who didn't play her constantly. She's beatable just like every other champ. You'll win some and lose some. That's the nature of arams.

not in case of sona though. this isnt just a slightly above average winrate or playrate.

fist of all, considering that the champion select is random, sona should be nowhere near 18% playrate in that mode. thats the % of a high pickrate champion on summoners rift, where people can make specific picks, instead of getting random champions.

the reason her playrate is so high, is because a ton of people are running aram accounts that are only containing the most pwoerful champions for that mode. and sona is one of them, if not the most powerful right now.

and 70% winrate is far above even skarner rework winrate. if that wasnt just aram, riot would have hotfixed the champion in a matter of two days.

just for comparison, thanks to summoner 32 garen is actually a really powerful champion in that mode. i rarely ever lose a game on him, and its difficult playing against him with such a mobility spell on the howling abyss.

even he just has a 54% winrate in that mode.

and by the way. soraka has 49% winrate on the howling abyss.
