Is it just me? Or is Mordekaiser out of place?

Or with the changes to marksmen, is Mordekaiser out of place bottom lane? Don't get me wrong, he wrecks Garen, Nasus, Gnar etc. But couldn't there be an change to help his quality of life? Perhaps a shift from damage onto the possibility of building more tanky? Don't know, just a thought.

Umm, he DOESN'T wreck Garen, Nasus, or Gnar. Mordekaiser right now is in his worst state since ever. He doesn't belong anywhere as he is right now, he simply got trashed into oblivion. And to this day I'm still cursing Riot for the shitty (And obvious foresaw failure) job they did on him with this piece of shit rework nobody asked for. Old Morde was 100% more fun and functional than whatever this piece of shit is.

Apologies for the language, not that I care anyways but I do apologize for being rude. I'm just upset the only reason I loved playing this game is forever gone.

Nah, you are just playing against baddies. Nasus and Gnar should never lose to new Mordekaiser in lane. Garen though, Garen's been pretty easy to beat with Morde. Well, except for the inevitable endless jungle ganks.

You may be very confused sir, gnar loses because you punish the hell out of him whenever he even gets close. And for nasus, well you can bully him before he can even consider getting farm. It's much too easy.

You sir are simply **DEAD **wrong here.

Gnar

Gnar is a RANGED champion and he doesn't need to be close at all, he will simply kite you to hell. New Morde can't simply lane against Gnar, new Morde is Melee-oriented while Old Morde was ranged and had better base stats for trading. You are obviously playing bad players here. This Morde is 100% exploitable in a solo lane especially against ranged.

I recommend you understand the game better because you simply aren't making any sense at all, well that if you are indeed trolling. In that case, nevermind, have a good day. But in case you are indeed stubborn and don't want to do your studies. Allow me to educate you:

-You lack CC, mobility, and escapes, therefore you are 100% predictable and kitable.

-Your only source of heavy damage is your 2nd/3rd Qs and you won't be landing that in a solo lane against good players.

-Your only real tool against ranged is your E which now has a 5 secs cooldown. However, once you use it for whatever reason then Gnar will have a few free auto off you. Without mentioning it's damage early is just bad compared to old Morde's. Champion like Irelia will simply all-in you early in the lane to exploit you as even Q's damage is also bad early in the first levels and without itemization.

-New Morde's passive shield is a lot weaker early game meaning that it will be a non-factor in early trades so don't expect to get free hits out of trades and instead expect to be hurt on each unsuccessful one. Even if you land a good E, you won't be generating much shield to withstand Gnar's sequences of autos on you, without mentioning his passive procs. His new passive shield scales with HP rather than level as it used to meaning that you need to choose between a squishy nuker, or and almost useless full tank.

-New Morde has an abyssal movement speed of 325 which is standard for ranged/marksman but for a CCless, gapcloserless, escapeless, no mobileless, melee champion, this is overkill and makes you, again, 100% predictable and kitable.

-Your Q, your main damage source, is a melee ability, Gnar doesn't need to be close to mess you up so Mace of Spades here is quite irrelevant. And even if to get sneaky, a good Gnar will simply hop away from you making you eat a lot of damage afterwards.

-Gnar has a slow, a knockup, and stun. Morde's numero 1 weakness. CC. He will wreck you in a 1v1 and worse, easily set you for an easy summoner burn/kill gank.

-He overall definitely has more chances to trade than you do.

-Once you get slowed down. you will get chunked hard.

-He is slippery meaning that you won't be able to pin him down obviously, you are Morde, you don't have any form of CC.

-If you bring Ignite to top and are forced out of lane you will get horrendously snowballed on into uselessness and will get reported.

Nasus

The same as Morde I'm/was also a main Nasus player who happened to dominate most top matchups and raped any Morde I came across and I will try to be as short and efficient this time educating you.

-Old Morde had better chances against Nasus and still it was an even matchup until Nasus reaches late game where your damage is no longer a factor.

-You can "bully", "damage", "harass" Nasus hard early and say you are having an easy time in lane but in reality that's what a good Nasus wants. Call it reverse psychology. He will still farm, you will be pushing the lane for you to get ass-raped by endless ganks and whine at your team for "Useless jungler Never ganks top and help me!", as now you are as twice as easy to gank without the speed steroids and base MS. While Nasus will simply heal all the damage back up and grow stronger by each minute. Picking Morde into Nasus is a free ticket to late game Nasus.** You will never kill a Good Nasus as Mordekaiser, Never!**

-Once Nasus reaches late game he will perma-Wither you and "SUPRISE!" your main damage source is auto attack oriented so your Attack Speed is severely damped as well. He will wreck you hard. Especially as he will be full tank for your damage to be relevant. Especially now with the new masteries and game changes LoL is having. And hey! Don't forget his all-game farmed up Q.

Now, since I'm feeling like battling every single pitch, I will wait for what you have to say on the subject to further educate you.

Good luck getting out of Silver/Bronze elo while living in the clouds. Conversation is over.

I use to play Nasus non stop(still play him on occasion) and I agree with what you said about him. I use to have trouble with enemies such as Teemo,Fiora and Rumble but I learned how to counter them.

I can't remember the last time I even went up against a mordekaiser top, but I think I can manage.

New Morde is worthless in a solo lane, just avoid getting hit by his Q and farm. He has not gap closers and is more close range reliant as ever. Without mentioning at an abyssal 325 movement speed, Morde won't be able to keep you close to him, you are simply more mobile than him. He will not be able to kill you, especially early in the game as long as you don't stand in his face when Mace of Spades is on.

He is 100% predictable so you shouldn't have issues outplaying him.

If he tries and goes hard on you early he will push the lane to your turret for you to freeze it there, that's when you let your jungler know top is an easy summoner burn/kill and start snowballing from there. He will respect you hard after that and will start to play more passively but by then it will be already to late.

Just farm and meet him back in the late game or get free kills should he ever decides to foolishly try to kill you early. You will smash him as long as you don't eat unnecessary empowered Qs. Your sustain is also a lot better than his so in the long run, with each successful trade, you shall force him out of lane.

Old Morde was more troublesome as he was ranged and packed a serious punch in all of his spells, not just one. This version, however, is just sad compared to his old one. you just have to be on the lookout of just one spell and you shall be dominating him in lane. Not much he can do except praying for some lucky kills to save his day.

That's because you are on low Silver/high bronze elo where most player still have no idea on how to play the game. However, when you get to lower platinum and above you will see the game with different eyes. As for me being terrible, not the first time I have to point out I'm a Platinum V ex Morde League player for a reason and this is merely my NA account to post in the NA region forums.

http://www.lolking.net/summoner/lan/3680230 <- Not that I care anyways since I quit the game completely after Morde's rework got even messier with all the poor tweaks etc.

Morde bot was never anything more than just abusing leona cheese and then winning lane solely off a level advantage. With the W nerf and how fast carries reach a midgame power spike now there doesn't seem to be much point in taking him bot.
