List of underrated mid laners
Normally you hear about all the top tier fan favorite mids but I'm to give you a list of midlaners that you probably wouldn't expect, especially if you drink that Gameplay Kool-Aid.
Lissandra - Like Ahri, a fan favorite, Lissandra is almost always just under the radar. She hasn't had significant changes in a long time and even with the Protobelt nerds she's still a decent champion that adds AoE engage to any team, which is especially nice when you consider that's coming from mid.
Xerath - safe, waveclears, and can target a long ranged ADC with extreme prejudice. While people are still trying to understand the new assassins why not abuse the fact he has virtually no counters until people get their shit together. Just purchase Morellonomicon and Rylai's and land a single ultimate charge for 3.6-5.6k range slows.
Ziggs - as it stands Ziggs is my 2nd pocket pick, right behind my main (Ahri). Once you master the ability to hit champions in lane via minions or first bouncing them and throwing them into your minefield with Satchel Charge (think Taliyah) he becomes Xerath with infinitely more turret pushing. The thing that makes him unique is that his damage is incredibly telegraphed, so using his E on one side of a turret and W on the other will zone during sieges, and late game one auto from him combined with that Satchel Charge detonating will down a tower.
Katarina - Lots more mobility, lots more damage, all gates behind a huge skillcap. Look up Katlife on YouTube if you need help with her.
LeBlanc - LeBlanc's waveclear got buffed, her damage is higher, and he has so many more combos she can use. I've killed an ADC just by landing both instances of the chain. This means the rest of her kit can be used for much more flexibility. Max RWEQ now, and just focus on pushing the wave (which is stupidly simple now) and running bot/top consistently.
