I am the only one who see the Zhonya changes as a good thing?
Yes, it lost AP. Yes, the active has a higher cooldown now. HOWEVER, not only Zhonya is cheaper, but it now has a much better buildpath. Not only that, it offers COOLDOWN REDUCTION!
Just like Maw of Malmortius offers armor penetration, so that AD casters do not lose much when building it instead of a dedicated armor penetration item like Youmuu, now APs will not lose much when building Zhonya, as they will still have a small amount of CDR to back up their spells.
The loss of AP is not a big deal, since the AP was never the main reason why I would build this. The main reason was the active. If I were to buy a big AP item, there were better general options, such as Rylai and Luden. However, the active from Zhonya sometimes made it a worth purchase; such as against Zed, for example.
The active has a higher cooldown, which is unfortunate... BUT... Honestly, the other changes more than compensate for that. Zhonya's active was actually very powerful on certain situations, and the fact that it has a higher cooldown allows Riot to buff this item in other areas.
The fact that it has a much better build path, on top of being cheaper, means that laning against Zed will be easier as a mage, now.
I am the only one who see those changes as positive?
