need math and ranked help for a funny gameplay question

What percent of the community could possibly get boosted/promoted to diamond. Is it possible for the entire community to just work together and get everyone to diamond?

not sure why people think i'm trolling but you can lose as many as 9 games without being kicked out of diamond correct? Or maybe its 5-8? But then I believe you can also get in without ever actually playing against any diamond 3-4 realistically couldn't you? You just have to win your promotionals which takes a certain number of games.

Basically I'm interested in what percent of the community could fit into this teir. Or is there some cap? But then I've never heard of someone getting booted because too many people got to diamond or even silver.

because it's a silly question something like 60-70% of the playerbase is in bronze and silver. Excluding gold it's like 80% of the playerbase, if not more, is in plat or above. that is no where near enough people to actually boost them.

If diamond players intentionally lose against plat players or if just really good diamond players carry against plat players could you not increase the number of people who get into diamond and simply get stuck in diamond V?

But then once the diamond rank has increased in size you could work on boosting gold players and work your way down to bronze. Not to suggest that this can be done in a realistic amount of time or everyone would participate. The objective here is to understand a system and a condition underwhich it could more or less completely fail.

Now that I put it this way, actually no, its not a fucking silly question at all.......
